Found it! Page 23 for me, post 811. Thank you for that info - I wonder why its different for some of us? Bit too technical for me x

Seems the numbers are different on the different aps. #811 is the other way as you say, but I could not find the time to indvdually no each recipe with the # no.

Remove the chicken from the marinade, put in a shallow dish and cook for 15-20 mins in the oven, stirring halfway through.
Serve with rice, veg and the chilli, if using, scattered over.

That is all gobbledegook to me, Doreen!! Glad you understand it!! :S Don't worry about being a bit behind - I just appreciate what you do, whenever you do it! :D

Thanks again. Kathy xx

BEANS WITH CHORIZO - Serves 4 Love this for lunch! Quick, easy and tasty! :)

2.5 Syns per serving

150g chorizo, diced - 10 Syns
1 onion, finely chopped
400g can beans, drained (I like Butter Beans best for this recipe but I suppose any will do).
400g can chopped tomatoes with chilli
Handful of baby spinach

Spray a large pan with Frylight. Gently fry the onion and chorizo until the oils from the chorizo run and the onion has softened.
Add the beans and tomatoes, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the spinach and cook for a few minutes until wilted.

This is also lovely with a HEX cheese grated over and served with a HEX chunk of crusty bread.

On page 55 #811 I gave started to put the post numbers on asa block for each page. If you have an ap could you let me know if this helps as it seems even wiith the page nos by every recipe it does not help to find the page.
Is that correct - do you thnk this will help. Just `lke` this post if you do. Don`t want to do them all if it don`t help. Thanks

Ah brilliant - thank you - this really helps x

STICKY PORK - Serves 6

5 Syns for the whole recipe

1 onion, finely chopped
6 ripe tomatoes, chopped
330ml diet coke
2 level tbsp. runny honey - 5 Syns
2 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp. smoked paprika
1kg lean pork

Pre-heat the oven to 200C/Gas 6.
Spray a pan well with Frylight and gently cook the onion until softened. Much quicker with frozen chopped onion - just drain any liquid off after.
Add the tomatoes and simmer rapidly for 5 minutes until they soften and become thick and pulpy.
Stir in the diet coke, honey, Worcestershire Sauce and paprika.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 10-12 mins, or until the sauce has thickened.
Put the pork into a deep sided roasting tin and pour the sauce over, turning the meat to coat it.
Roast the meat for about an hour or until thoroughly cooked through. Baste with the sauce occasionally while cooking. If it starts to look a bit dry, cover with foil.

Although we've had the chicken with coke before, we enjoyed this for a change and had it with crispy roast potatoes and lots of veg.

VEGGIE POTATO CAKES - Serves 4

Approx. 2 - 2.5 Syns per serving

750g potatoes, cubed
1 small cabbage, shredded
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 red chillies, deseeded and finely chopped (optional)
2 tsp. olive oil - 4 Syns
300g unsmoked bacon chops or gammon steaks, all visible fat removed
2 level tbsp. runny honey - 5 Syns

Boil the potatoes until soft.
Meanwhile, cook the cabbage until soft and spray a frying pan with Frylight and cook the onion until soft.
Drain and mash the potato. Drain the cabbage and stir into the onion and chillies. Mix in with the mashed potato and season.
When cool enough, shape into 8 potato cakes.
Brush a large non-stick frying pan with the olive oil and fry the potato cakes for about 5 minutes on each side, until crisp and golden.
Meanwhile, grill the bacon chops or gammon and brush with the honey a minute before they are ready.

Lovely served with grilled tomatoes or baked beans. Can also do the potato cakes with HEX cheese added before shaping.

SMOKED SALMON SPICY NOODLES - Serves 2

3 Syns per serving

6 tsp oyster sauce - 3 Syns (Tiger Tiger, Tesco and Asda Chosen By You)
6 tsp soy sauce
120g smoked salmon (can usually get bits cheaper from the deli)
200g dried egg noodles
2 tbsp. grated fresh ginger
6 spring onions, chopped
1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
2 tbsp. sweet chilli sauce - 3 Syns

Pre-heat the grill.
Toss the salmon pieces with half the oyster and soy sauce. Spread out on a baking tray and put under the grill. Grill for 2 minutes, gently, turn over and repeat.
Cook the noodles according to pack instructions, adding the ginger, spring onion and chilli to the cooking water.
Drain the noodles and toss with the remaining oyster and soy sauce and also the sweet chilli sauce.
Top with the salmon and enjoy! :D

BAKED EGG AND CHEESY HAM - Serves 4

Approx. 2 Syns per serving, if using the cheese as part of a HEX

4 eggs
2 slices of ham
100g of baby spinach
8 cherry tomatoes, halved
30g mature Cheddar, grated
20g butter - 7 Syns

Brush a little Frylight over the base and sides of quite a shallow ovenproof dish (big enough to take 4 poached eggs in a single layer).
Cut the tomatoes in half and place them, cut side down, in the base of the dish.
Pre-heat the oven to 160C/Gas 3.
Melt the butter over a medium heat on the hob and add the spinach. Cook gently for about 1-2 minutes or until wilted down. You can wilt the spinach in the usual way in water, making it Syn free but the butter, on this occasion, does add to the taste.
Spoon the wilted spinach over the tomatoes evenly.
Tear the ham into strips and put on top of the spinach.
Crack an egg into each corner of the dish and sprinkle with a little salt and black pepper.
Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top.
Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the egg whites have set so, keep an eye on them! :)
Serve immediately with some HEX warm toast.

This makes a really tasty lunch/brunch and is so easy to do!

CHOP SUEY - Serves 4

Approx. 2 Syns per serving

1 large onion, chopped
2.5cm piece of fresh ginger, finely chopped (could use half tsp. dried instead)
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
3 skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
1 tbsp. olive oil - 6 Syns
4 tbsp. reduced salt, dark soy sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar - 3 Syns
Enough dried noodles/vermicelli for 4 people

Saute the onion in the hot oil for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, be cooking the dried noodles/vermicelli according to pack instructions.
Add the chicken pieces, garlic, ginger and brown sugar to the onions and cook for 10 mins.
Add the cooked noodles and the soy sauce and continue cooking for 10 minutes before simmering on a low heat for a further 5 minutes. Season to taste.

Could also add in some sliced peppers - fresh or frozen.

This is so tasty and really easy too.

SPICY PRAWNS - Serves 4

Syn Free

1 red chilli, medium, deseeded and chopped (leave seeds in if you prefer a spicier taste)
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. medium chilli powder
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 shallot, diced
2 lemon grass shoots, chopped
5cm ginger, chopped (half tsp. ground ginger)
475g large, uncooked prawns

Put the red chilli, paprika, curry powder, garlic, shallot, lemon grass and ginger in a blender and whizz until smooth. Add water, if necessary.
Transfer to a bowl, add the prawns and marinate, in the fridge, overnight.
Put the prawns onto metal skewers and grill or barbeque for 2-3 minutes each side.
Serve with salad.

LAMB STEW - Serves 4

3 Syns per serving

400g middle neck of lamb, all visible fat removed, diced
1 onion, chopped
2 medium carrots, chopped
4 large potatoes, cut into large chunks
1 tbsp. tomato puree
1.137 litres lamb stock
100g pearl barley
2 tbsp. oil - 12 Syns

Add the oil to a large pan over a medium heat.
When hot, add the lamb and cook until well coloured.
Add the carrots and onion to the pan and sweat for a few minutes.
When the onion and carrots have softened, add the tomato puree and continue to cook for a few minutes more.
Add the lamb stock and the pearl barley to the pan and bring to the boil.
Simmer for about 20 minutes, then add the potato chunks.
Bring back to the boil, then simmer until the lamb is tender and the potatoes are starting to break down and thicken the sauce.
Serve immediately with lots of fresh veg.

COCONUT BAKED COURGETTES - Serves 4 Lovely as a side dish or, with a portion of HEX crusty bread, for lunch.

3.5 Syns per serving

1 tbsp. oil - 6 Syns
1 onion, finely chopped
4 cloves of garlic, crushed
Half tsp. chilli powder, strength dependent on taste
1 tsp. ground coriander
6 tbsp. desiccated coconut - 7.5 Syns
1 tbsp. tomato puree
700g courgettes, thinly sliced
Freshly chopped parsley to garnish

Pre-heat the oven to 180C/Gas 4.
Spray and brush a 1.4 litre gratin dish with Frylight.
Heat a wok or frying pan, adding the oil when hot. Add the onion and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add the garlic, chilli powder and coriander and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes. If the oil isn't enough, either spray with Frylight or add a splash of water to prevent sticking.
Pour 300ml of cold water into the pan and bring to the boil.
Add the coconut and tomato puree and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Most of the water will evaporate.
Spoon four tablespoons of the spice and coconut mixture into a small bowl and set aside.
Stir the courgettes into the remaining spice mixture in the pan, mix and spoon into the gratin dish.
Sprinkle the reserved spice mix evenly over the top.
Bake, uncovered, in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle with the parsley and serve immediately.

This is a lovely dish and, sometimes, I sprinkle over a HEX grated cheese or two, before putting in the oven.

STIR-FRIED CHICKEN WITH SPINACH, TOMATOES AND PINE NUTS - Serves 4

Approx. 3.5 Syns per serving

25g pine nuts - 9 Syns
1 tbsp. oil - 6 Syns
1 red onion, peeled and finely chopped
450g skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
450g cherry tomatoes, halved
225g baby spinach
Sprinkle of dried nutmeg
2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

Heat a non-stick wok or frying pan and add the pine nuts. Dry-fry for about 2 minutes, shaking often to make sure they roast but don't burn. Remove from the pan and reserve.
Wipe any dust from the pan, heat the pan again and add the oil.
Stir-fry the onion for 2 minutes. Add the chicken and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden.
Reduce the heat, add the tomatoes and stir-fry gently until they start to break down.
Add the washed baby spinach and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until it starts to wilt.
Season to taste with pepper, then sprinkle in the nutmeg and balsamic vinegar.
Finally, stir in the pine nuts and serve immediately.

Lovely on a bed of ribbon noodles.
