Depression and losing weight

Hi all

Looking for a bit of advice. Im currently dealing with therapists and GP etc to diagnose a mood disorder, Im somewhere on the bipolar spectrum but for now I'll label it as "sometimes depressed, sometimes ridiculously happy". I've just come off an SSRI I've been on for 6 months and will start another in a few weeks.

Essentially my inability to maintain a stable mood makes it very difficult to maintain healthy eating at all. I sometimes eat really well (my normal), sometimes I hardly eat anything and other times its everything in sight.

Im trying to lose a bit of weight now (I've always been slightly overweight but never unhealthy or unhappy with it) but am finding it difficult to keep up any eating pattern with my mood fluctuations.

I want to try slimming world as it seems the easiest lifestyle choice to go on with rather than 'diets'.

Anyone else deal with mental illness and weight loss??
