i previously done cambridge and lost over 3 stone and felt fantastic when i had lost all the weight, i am now back on it for a 2nd time and can not get y head round it, i know they say it is hardr 2nd time round but i dont understand why!?!?! i have been back on since 13th april and still weigh roughly the same as i did back then but as we all know i should of got most of my weight off by now! i weigh 13stone at the moment and i am booked in to have my breasts enlarged on the 1st dec, i have already had to change to date from the 12th nov :( if i dont lose the weight i cant get them done and i have wanted this for about 10 years but i cant leave the biscuits and chocloate alone long enough. please can someone give me some ideas to give me a kick up the back side and get me motivated. cheers xxx

hi.. didnt want to read and run.... i am really struggling myself (so i can not give you any words of wisdom...)
but i can say.... if you really want them done, then you have got to stop...
its like me. i want to fit into my dream wedding dress, so ive got to do it. just lump it... get past the days feeling absolutely ravishing... and it will get better....
i really need to listen that advice i think! lol

good luck

I think that it is good to have something to motivate you but I wonder if the fact that this is something that you have wanted for so long and want so much is scaring you? Please talk your feelings through with someone or even just write everything you are feeling down - you don't need to share it with anyone if you don't want to. Try and make the problem more manageable by separating the weight loss from the breast enlargement. Then try and take it in smaller steps - you know the sort of thing - you've done it before. E.g. get through a day 100%; get through a week, etc. Reward yourself for small losses - new makeup or undies for every week you lose anything at all. Find things that make you feel proud about yourself - caring about your weight is one, bur there will be many more. The more positive you feel in general, and the more manageable you make this process the better your results will be. I am thinking of you and sending positive thoughts - take care xxx.

thank you very much, both said some great things! i have done all sorts to motivate myself, i have little alarms go off on my phone every hour with a comment, iv stuck y thin pics all round the house and the screen saver on my phone but i just dont know what else to do xxx

Hi Pinkmantha

Have you discovered thedietguy.co.uk... .. he writes these articles that use a physchological technique to help you really get focused on being successful at losing weight. Someone pointed me in his direction last week and he's been a godsend! My thinking seems to be totally switching over.

ooohhhh all of those are great ideas... might have to use some of those!!! :)
YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

is thedietguy.co.uk free to use what exactly is it?
im nicking this can eat what I want when I want; I CHOOSE not to because I value myself more than I value a bar of chocolate/pizza/cake!!"

He's a guy that did CD a few years back after being overweight for 30 years so he knows where we've are .. he's totally free .. he writes the articles to help motivate others who want to lose weight.

If you go to The Diet Guy - Believe You Can, Believe You Can't, Either Way You'll Be Right and on the left hand side there down at the bottom there are "Categories" and one of those is "general mindset" .... that's a good place to start reading.

And feel free to nick it; I nicked it from something thedietguy said in one of his articles and it's become my personal mantra this week :)

You can do it Pink - don't give up!!

Some evil person brought chips into my office today and a member of my team said to me 'imagine how you would feel if you ate them, the last two days would have been for nothing' She was right...getting to the point I'm at now has been the main struggle, its just about focussing on whether instant gratification is more important to you than the long term goal. You can do it!

That's what I say to myself too Heva. Plus I also tell myself I've had more than my fair share of chips/chocolate/icecream etc to date and a few months without isn't going to kill me! And when I am at goal and a healthy and active person with a better attitude and relationship with food I'll be able to eat what I want when I want :D

In the meantime - Masterchef = food porn!

The horrible feeling you get if you have done a few days and then lapse, is just not worth it, for the sake of eating a few chips or something.

It's sooooooo hard thoguth and that was cruel to dangle chips under your nose

Aw honey, you can do it! You're doing it! It all gets so much easier after a few days, so hang in there.

And LOL, kept seeing Goreygirl talk about The Diet Guy and didn't realise it was our Mike Scott (I say 'our' - he was a regular on here the first time I was on the forum back in 2007 - AKA Icemoose). He's great, isn't he? Such an inspiration.

I'm his new best stalker fan!!! :DWish I'd discovered him years ago... but then again maybe I wasn't ready to "hear" what he has to say until now.

I'm slowly reading through all the posts and doing the exercises and it's really helping.

chips are the worst, especially in a office as it stinks the whole place out but good on you for not giving in, a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips ;)xx
