Whilst making the most of Master T's 40 winks on the way to Tenerife I indulged in a mag and found a piece of research that said slimmers who use forums for support are now more successful than those who attended slimming classes.

I totally agree, although I love cd I also am aware how much Minimins helps me. Firstly there is 24 hour support, then there are so many motivation stories and pictures, everyone gets their turn to speak, there's no jumping on the scales when your 'e having a tough time, no pressure to buy a weekly raffle ticket for an unwanted prize, you can chose when to leave and enter the forum at your convenience and I am not falling asleep just sat there thinking come on I want my tea.
I also think that the best thing (apart from it being free) is that often in slimming classes groups of friends tend to go, and if your not in a group you are a bit like the new kid at school-whereas here everyone is so open, welcoming and friendly.

Due to Mr T's job I would no longer be able to go to a class without taking Master T, which I have previoulsy tried to do and failed.
Also I'm sure I would have stopped going during my hamster wheel months, then given up completely. Whereas coming on here has stopped me going completely off the rails and inspired me to be a cd angel 100 per cent again.
Minimins is certainly the best diet community I have ever been a member of.
    Thanks everyone x

i completely agree!! not only is the support fantastic and so much inspiriational resource but i find my weight loss journey is a very personal thing that i don't like to discuss or have pointed out in slimming groups. the anoyminity of logging on here being aable to be myself and completely honest and open about the whole diet - trials, failures and success - is amazingly refreshing to me and i have no doubt that you lovely peeps have kept me strong at times i would have caved and boosted my cinfidence to be proud of what i've achieved so far and even tell a few real world people, something i would never have done before! :p forums are definiately for winners!!
