Restarting Cambridge SS after gaining all my weight back :-( I WILL do it this time!
    Hi girlies,

I'm coming to the middle/end of my third week this week and feel much more "in the swing of things!"

I tried week one SS and then switched to a mix of SS and SS+ in the second week.

I'm actually enjoying my CD journey now the cravings have passed! Don't get me wrong, I still fancy food now and again and even find myself picking at stuff for no apparent reason other than I think I "want" it!

But I'm enjoying seeing the scales and inches tick down!

My CDC emailed me with a list of all the products she has in stock last night as I seem to be sticking to mostly choc mint shakes at the moment! My fave!

So next week (Week 4) I've decided to shake things up a bit and have more of a mix, so she emailed me what things I could choose from!

I was just wondering what everyone's faves are??

Here's the low down of how I rate the products!

    CD PRODUCTS:

    Shakes:
    Chocolate – yum yum!
Chocolate Orange – haven’t tried yet
Chocolate Mint – my fave! I have all the time with hot water as a hot choc :D:eek:

    Butterscotch - yum
Toffee and Walnut – eurgh! I think this one is totally disgusting! :jelous:
Cappuccino – haven’t tried yet as don’t like coffee
    Vanilla – haven’t tried yet

Strawberry – really nice done in the blender, like a proper Strawberry milkshake

Banana – really nice, like a proper Banana milk shake
    Fruits of the
    Forest
    – Ok, I know a lot of people love this one but I think its just “ok”

    Soups (6 flavours)
    Chicken and Mushroom
    Mushroom (lactose free)
    Vegetable
    Spicy Tomato
    Oriental Chilli
    Broccoli and Cheese

    Leek and Potato

I think the soups are a nice change but not really for me! I’ve stuck to the porridge and the shakes so far although my tastes may change further on in.

    Bars 6 (flavours)
Malt Toffee - covered in milk choc
Caramel - covered in milk choc
Chocolate - covered in milk choc
Orange - covered in plain choc
    Peanut Crunch – milk chocolate

    Cranberry Crunch – milk chocolate

I haven’t had the bars yet, I get them the end of this week! I WAS going to stay away from them as some people experience a slow down in weight loss with them, but I’m craving them now! So I’m going to get 2-3 for next week (Week 4).

Ready made cartons come in three flavours
    Chocolate Velvet
    Banana Bliss
    Strawberry Silk

I think ALL of these are delicious and so convenient. I work as a teacher and so often don’t get time to stop for lunch, so these are my lunch-on-the-go without jeopardising my CD plan. You DO need a lot of water with them though as they’re much more concentrated and can leave a “thick” taste in your mouth afterwards if you don’t have extra water afterwards. If I have one in the house I tip it into a pint glass and a little bit extra water and some ice – delicious!

    Porridge:
    Porridge (Original)
    Porridge (Apple and Cinnamon)

Both are gorgeous! They don’t taste like real porridge but I don’t like “real” porridge so this is fab’ for me!

    Water flavours (3 flavours)
    Summer Berries
    Sunshine
    Orange

    Savoury Vegetable

I’m not starting on the water flavourings at all as my CDC advised that they can become addictive, so if I’m OK with plain water to try and stick to that.

    Fibre 89

I’ve just bought this as I suffer with terrible constipation so will be trying this, this week. You add a teaspoon to your shakes, apparently it’s tasteless.

What do you all think?? How are you all doing on your CD journeys?

    Hiya.
My CD journey is dead simple - a choc tetra for 'breakfast', a strawberry tetra or cranberry crunch bar for 'lunch' and a choc mint shake made with extra water and ice for 'tea'.
On my first journey I tried lots of flavours but this time I am sticking with my favourites. I do a mix of SS and SS+, sometimes I can go a couple of weeks on SS and other times I'll have 2 or 3 SS+ days in a week.

I use the Fibre stuff. I add a teaspoon of it to a choc mint shake every other day and it keeps me regular. I added it every day to begin with but it was a bit too much (if you know what I mean!!).

I don't bother with water flavourings as I am more than happy with plain water and if I do have 'squash' I have to have it very weak - I have heard that the flavourings are quite strong in taste.

My CDC loves the fact that I am so consistent in my orders. I did start out having porridge but I had some of the 'bad' batch that was out and it put me off porridge for life, yuck! I have never tried one of the soups as I am very particular about soup and the thought of them just doesn't appeal.

Orange - Terry's Chocolate Orange eat your heart out

I wonder what it is about the soup that has that effect on people? I used to love them, but then all of a sudden they made me feel sick and I haven't been able to stomach them since, every now and then I have a try but still have the same reaction to them, it's such a shame because I crave savoury things a lot of the time.

Anyway here's what I think of them all:

    Tetras
    Chocolate - my favourite
Strawberry - nice but tastes a bit powdery
Banana - same as strawberry nice but a bit powdery

    Bars
I love the Peanut Crunch and Cranberry Crunch
The Chocolate Orange and Caramel are okay, don't bother with the rest.

    Shakes
    Choc Mint - love it
    Chocolate - Love it
Choc Orange - not sure about this one, keep coming back to it
Vanilla - my fave when made into a mousse
Toffee & Walnut - I like this for a change from Chocolate all the time
    Butterscotch - yum
Strawberry - not so fussed on this one
Banana - Same, I'd prefer the banana tetra
Cappucino - I have to be in the mood
Fruits of the Forest - I like this for a bit of a change

I keep clear of the porridge and not keen on the soup either.

    Soup - don't like soup

    Bars
Found the caramel too sweet. Don't like choc/orange stuff or nuts. Like Toffee (taste like finger of Fudge) and don't mind choc.

    Shakes
    Choc Mint - love it
    Chocolate - Love it
Choc Orange - don't like choc orange
    Vanilla - ok
    Toffee & Walnut - don't like nut
    Butterscotch - like
Strawberry - don't like strawberry flavoured things
    Banana - like
Cappucino - don't like coffee flavoured things
Fruits of the Forest - find it a bit 'weird'

I keep clear of the porridge and not keen on the soup either.

Oooh Thank you Girlies! I've picked up a new way of eating some of them now too!

A lot of people say to cut the bars up into pieces and eat them like that so I'm quite excited to try the bars now!! Lol!

Well done girlies on your CD journeys so far! I'm becoming so impatient and just wishing the weeks away so I can get smaller and smaller!

I'm still a size 22-24 (bottoms) and a 20 top but I recently got into an 18 top so it's happening ladies!!

I've got clothes from size 14 right up through the sizes, some brand new with the tags still on so I threw out any bigger stuff I had yesterday and put all the 14's together, all the 16's together and so on..... so I've got lots of outfits to look forward to wearing when I lose weight and if I'm honest I don't have to buy anything new until I get to a size 14! Not that, that will stop me shopping! lol!

    xxxx

Mousse, Mousse, Mousse all the way for me - I couldn't take my shakes once I'd tried the Mix a mousse as it really made them last longer.

here are my opinions and faves :)

    Shakes -
Choc mint - AMAZING .. nice hot and cold and also made into a slushy with 8 ice cubes and a smoothie maker :)
Chocolate - Nasty as a drink but like as a mousse
Chocolate Orange - the only one I hate , erg
Banana - lovley if you like banana , nice as a slushy
Strawberry - Gorgeous as a mousse or a slushy
Vanilla - Lovely as a mousse 9 also add 1/2 teaspoon of coffee and its like tiramasu :) , and lovley as a slushie .. like icecream :)
Butterscotch - tastes a little like feet
Toffee and walnut - lovely as a mousse .. tastes like butterscotch angel delight :)
Fruits of forest - OK although I dont ave it often

Tetras - I think they all have strange after tastes and are far too strong , I like the choc one occassionally frozen ( not recommended but when I need an icecream fix ... it keeps me on track :)

    Bars -
Toffee - Gorgeous , just like fudge :)
    Chocolate - Nice
    Orange- Yummy
    Caramel - nice
Peanut - OK although gives me jaw ache !!!
    Cranberry - YUCK !!!! I hate cranberry though !

    Soups - only tried a few -
mushroom - yummy , although they do have a weird powdery taste
chick and mush - ok ... not great
Spicy Tomato- not sure if I love it or not ?
Oriental Chilli- again not sure if i really like it ...

I dont tend to have soup very often as I find the texture too powdery .

Porridge - I LOVE the apple and Cinnamon one ... have it every day .... although I hate normal porridge I love this !! Not tried the origanal one yet

I totally love the water flavourings , the berry one is great and helps me drink all my water , and the veg one is great for when I need something extra in the evening ....
