The Prodigal Son (oops I mean daughter) returns. Lovely to see you again chica.
A stone ain't that difficult to shift, is it ?????
I'm just about maintaining - I'm 2 lbs more than when we met in Feb 2012. Although that makes me 7 lbs over my lowered target, which (like you) I don't seem top be able to maintain. T'was probably a few pounds too far. So currently working out where to go from here.

Great to see you back - and great that all the kids are doing so well.

Lovely to see you back Dawn.
Interesting point you make about looking scraggy at your target weight as my D (Sandra - Irish Lady) got to her target weight and she said the same thing. Now she has gained a few pounds and looks so much better for it.
I'm still struggling as you can see by my sig. .. just hoping it'll improve soon.. :D

Take care and keep up the good work.

Hello Dawn !!!!!

Wow!!!

Thank you all for such a lovely welcome xxx I feel as though I've missed so much! And yet it also feels like I've never been away lol! I'm hoping to visit a few diaries before I nod off xx

Had an awful day at work. Usual story...far more patients than ambulances. And to top it all, my boss called me into the office to discus the fact that I'm unhappy about changing my hours. Actually I have asked them to implement the 30 days "consultation period" which means I don't start the late shift until September 23rd, but tbh there isn't really much consulting going on. She said there may be a member of staff who could do a couple of my lates for me, but that I would have to ask her. Other options are to go back on the road driving the ambulances, or to leave! Charming!

But all was forgotten at 5 o'clock as I met my SW buddy Sue and we went for a 7k walk. We've been meeting up for a few weeks now, and either go to the gym or go walking. And today was just lovely as the weather was perfect. We stop at Costa for a diet coke, and then have a pit stop where we sit on a bench overlooking the lakes and have a little SW picnic. It was so nice that we're thinking about going again tomorrow! Oh, and I spent half the walk telling Sue how brilliant everyone on minis is and so she's joined tonight. When she's had a chance to set her diary up I'll post a link to it on here and maybe some of you lovely guys would go visit her? I'm warning you though, Suzanne is a wonderfully inventive cook and has come up with some great SW recipes so her fred will be full of yummy food porn!

thank Bev x You're doing really well at this maintaining lark. Yes we may both have set unrealistic targets for ourselves. I think I'm aiming for 10st this time...but I do get carried away sometimes lol xx

Hellooooo lovely Mumsie xxx Oh I'm sorry you haven't been too well, and for not being around. Yes we need a proper catch up at some point x
Gwyn is great thanks. Had another skin cancer scare but it turned out to be benign this time...hooray!!!
And the pup is another shih-tzu, called Sasha. She's a nutcase! Really clumsy, like a bull in a china shop, but we love her lol!!

Bless u Emmaline x

It's certainly a kick in the teeth after 21 years service. It looks like I'll just have to stick it out until I can find something else.

Can't find my blog on the app:(

Suzy welcome to the madhouse - but can I suggest you start a diary rather than a blog as people prefer to read these.
I can't see your blog either - it tells me I need more posts !!! What? People are probably sick of my posts :8855:
But it's proobably because you don't have enough posts or have made it private

Dawn - pooh to your employers. I have a friend who works in a supermarket and despite the hours she agreed with them when they took her on they are now trying to change all her working patterns. She was politely told that it was a disciplinary action if she refused to change! What !!!!

Love Sasha - looks a real cutie.

Hi Dawnie

Boooo to your employers! Fancy saying you could always leave  I hope you can get something worked out.

Your walk sounds lovely. I have a friend here that I also walk about 7kms with. She's not dieting as far as I know but walks a lot for exercise. It's great to get out in the fresh air. Love the look of the picnic too. Yum.

Welcome Sue! Can't wait to see your recipes. I agree to start your diary in the SW diary thread. X

Sounds rather familiar Bev. I'm devastated to be being treated like this. We've really thrown ourselves into this company and worked lots of extra hours to make it work, and this is the thanks we get. My colleagues have all reluctantly agreed to the new hours, but I have not. Of course I will have to do them soon. Unless I find a new job first.

We love our walks Shrinkie. In fact we went again tonight, just for an hour, and did just under 5k. We were originally going to the gym but the weather is so good here at the moment we felt we should take advantage of it!!

This is our walk today...

So, today was a day I really don't ever want to repeat. It was a nightmare! In fact it was so bad that one member of staff went home suffering from stress. Both myself and the other day controller were very tempted to go too, but we muddled through between us. I never thought I'd say this but I hated it in there today. At least I only have two more days to survive before I've got a week off. I was so grateful to go for that lovely walk tonight as it helped to calm me down.

I did have one good piece of news today though...I have an interview for the new Waitrose store which is currently being built only a five min walk from my house. It's a group interview so I'm a bit nervous about it but its a few weeks away yet. I've heard nothing but good things about Waitrose and the John Lewis Partnership, and the way they treat their staff. It appears that they're rather fussy when it comes to taking on staff too! It would mean a massive drop in pay if I got a position there, but quite frankly I think I'm going to be ill if I don't sort something out, and money isn't everything...or so they say!!!

Take care girlies x
