    hi,

    i am so upset tonight.
I went to class and gained 1lb, last week i gained 1/2lb, and i have been good and followed the plan. it is not star week but i am undergoing tests for crohns disease and joint pain, i had bloods done last week and it seems i have inflammation, my tummy does feel bloated a lot, but i have gone down 2 dress sizes! nothing makes sense, my oh was gobsmacked when i came home tonight with a gain, he knows i have not cheated and that i stick to plan.
so, i have just stuffed my face!!!! yes, a donor kebab, 2 pancakes and a choclate bar and i feel sick! sick with all the food and sick with all the guilt.
    I hate being fat!
    i hate being me!

Oh honey, you could very easily be holding water - you're down clothing sizes, so that actually makes sense as one often holds water in funny places like ankles and things that isn't the same as fat would be.

You've had your reactive binge, just flexi syn it and draw a line under it,you're putting good things in your body which will only help with any heath issues you're facing and you won't hold water forever, you'll catch up with yourself.

Don't give up. Surely it's all about the clothes sizes going down not the scales.......! That's just a bonus!

Me, I couldn't care if I weighed in at 20 stone as long as I fit comfortably into a size 10! (I'd be one hell of a tall wifey!). Don't give in............

Oh you poor thing, I feel your pain! I put on 1.5 lb last week after choosing wine to drink instead of my usual gin & slimline!! Make today a flexi syn day. Draw a big thick line under today, follow the plan as you have been, Hope that your tests come through OK. Keep thinking positive, keep posting your thoughts on here, there is so much support for you!!! Good luck - Jane

I agree with Wenchie, it does sound like water retention....especially if your clothes are feeling looser. {{{{{lare 73}}}}} hang in there!

Not this week but last I went up 2lb, and yet everyone kept saying I looked like I'd lost more weight and my clothes definately felt looser. I had been on plan 100%, no idea why what should have been a loss showed as a gain.

This week I "lost" 6.5 which is impossible, so it came right in the end (4.5 over 2 weeks) despite me doing much the same thing as you and having chicago chicken with chips, plus my husband's chips, onion rings, large chocolate brownie and ice cream and £5 worth of pick'n'mix after weigh in ("if I'm going to gain weight I might as well enjoy it" lapse!)

hi honi i know how much gain's get you down especially when you've been working SO hard and the one thing that drives you is to see those numbers go down on the scales.
One of my friends has crohns and we were discussing last week slimming world (as she's trying to lose weight) and it turns out with her crohns she can't eat wholewheat or wholemeal and a whole list of other things (i've seen her when it's flared up and i'm not exaggerating she looks like she's 7mths preg)
have a look into crohns and see what foods irritate it? As for tonight the girls are right don't feel guilty about your gain tomorrow is another day start afresh and look forward to a postive week xx

    Hi Hun,

Just wanted to say.. I had similar pains to you several years back, and got diagnosed with a condition called myositis. My "flares" and inflammation of the muscles did mean that my weight went up and down but then some weeks, I'd suddenly find I dropped 7lbs. I found the best thing I could do was keep a diary to make sure I was definately being good and then monitor my weightloss over a month and it always came. Hope they sort out whatever it is soon.

thank you everyone for your kind support.

i am back on plan today, had a terrible day yesterday.
i went to the doctors and i have been referred to more specialists so hopefully will get a definite diagnosis and treatment soon.
my friend suggested that i may not be loosing weight due to my body going into panic mode and holding on to fluid and such as i am not absorbing vitamins at the moment and my stores are depleted, makes sense i suppose.
then i sat and cried and thought i must be the only fat person with ?crohns disease.
So brushed myself off, and had a good talk with myself and know that the plan makes me feel better in myself so i will keep going.

thanks again everyone, nice to come here and get such lovely support.
    clare x
