Do you still need Dr signature for the sole source programme?

My bmi is 47.4 will I still need a dr signature. I'm hoping not as my dr does not believe in vlcd's

You will need to check, but the rules changed recently and if you are over 40BMI you can't go straight onto SS anymore you have to work down the plan. There is a threat on the top section that goes through it all.

If you do need a note you just need to point out you don't need his permission, you just want him to confirm you don't suffer from anything that may cause a problem.
