does anyone else feel like a boring old fart?

Its Saturday night, and where i usually would be out drinking till early hours of the morning with my friends, these last four weeks i havent gone out for fear of being tempted to drink and eat takeaway and the end of the night! So instead im babysitting...again

Does anyone feel like there social life has plumeted since started CD? Its worth it as the weight is dropping off, but i feel like everyone thinks im boring!! My skinny friends just dont understand!

And all i can think about is eating a large dominos pizza! yummy!

I must say that because of my size I didn't go out much anyway so I'm not bothered about not going out for another few months but I'm hoping for a new lease of life for my social life once I am done and feeling happier and more confident...

It is worth sitting this one out and enjoying every single second once we are where we wanna be...

i started the CD diet about a week before my hubby's birthday. i told him that i didn't want to go out for a meal to celebrate but would cook him something nice and we'd go out when i reach my goal weight. this sounds really selfish but he understands. sometimes you've just got to buckle down the hatches and go for it. i should be finished with my journey by june - my mum's birthday so i'll be working up the plans to go out for a meal.

i'd love to go out and have a few glasses of wine at the pub but as it's a no no it'll have to wait.

when we went out to hubby's parent's house we were invited out by his brother and his wife. i stayed at home (well with his parents) as i was only a couple of weeks into the diet and needed to control myself. he went out and had a good time. now that i'm further into the diet i will now go out with him and just have water.

what i'm trying to say, in a long winded way, is that it will all be worth it in the end.

I totally sympathise, my social life was non-existent during my 20 wks of SSing! I found it impossible to socialise as it made me so miserable not being able to eat/drink. However, and it's a big but, it has been so worth it in the long term as I have transformed my life. You will be so glad you did it!

Hi Nicki, im normally a out every weekend girl, Ive been on cd for 3 weeks now and have been out one night, tbh i think cd would turn out like all my other diets if i didnt treat myself, ive lost 17lbs in 3 weeks with one night out and one night in with hubby eating and drinking.
Yes maybe i might of lost more but im happy an find it very easy getting back to it the nxt day.

ha sure I feel like a boring old fart without being on a diet LOL, no seriously it is very hard SSing and watching others go out and you feel like your missing all the fun. BUT remember nothing worth doing is ever easy and in a couple of months you will be exactly where you want to be and will be able to join in the fun and feel fabulous at the same time.

Think about how you would feel now if you had given in and when out and joined in, you'd feel like you had cheated on the diet and you would be beating yourself up for that.

I have set myself a target of getting to goal by march next year so I figure that my social life can be none existent for a year while I focus on me.

i feel really left out and boring not going out and i miss it...however i've saved money and i look better than i have in years, i'm just looking forward to going out and seeing everyone i know and hearing those ever lusted after words!! 'you look amazing' its enough to keep me going for now!
