Does anyone use ketostix?

I know they're not 100% reliable according to some on here, but I got some anyway to try out.
I was wondering what is the 'right' range to show you're in ketosis?
Is the darkest the best?
Can the amount of water you drink affect the results?
When is the best time to test, first thing in the morning?
I'm all set to go tomorrow. I get weighed in the morning, get my shakes and away I go! I'm expecting miracles from reading all your posts!:p

I use them every now and then just to check, don't know why really cos I know I'm in ketosis cos of the weight loss.

Any colour shown means you are in ketosis. The darker the colour does not mean better. If you are in the darkest colour someone else on here said it means you are dehydrated. I'm always about the second or third darkest shade, so am in ketosis.

The time of day does vary the result but after 3 or 4 days on LT you should be in ketosis anyway so the sticks aren't really necessary. I don't really need them to be honest. Just a habit to check it every now and then really. Good luck with starting, you will be fine. Just get the first week out the way and it's a lot easier.

Ahhh. Thanks for that. I'll do one in the morning- kind of a 'control' test? Then another in a few days to see how I'm doing. It's good to know I shouldn't be the darkest purple and would need to up my water! Thanks again.
