Attack Dolly's Dukan Diary

    CAN I JOIN YOU PLEASE!!!??!?

    I have officially started Dukan today. I'm not sure how lively it is over here compared to the Slimming World and Weightwatchers boards, but if anyone is skimming through the diaries, if i'm going wrong please can you tell me off?

    Plan for today:

    ATTACK

    B: 0% total yoghurt with sweetner mixed in, tea and coffee with skimmed milk

    L: Tin of tuna with a boiled egg

    S: 5 x seafood sticks, precooked ham slices

    D: Whitebait

    S: Oatbran and another boiled egg if I'm hungry

    Is that too much?

    Oo and lots of water because I hate the thought of not being able to 'go'!!! I don't want to be forced to use one of those things you shove up your bum!

    Hi Dolly and welcome. You cannot eat to much on Dukan as long as its on the list so fill your boots. Be careful with the ham as there is way to much salt and is well know for water retention so could slow/stop weight loss good luck x

    Hello there Dolly... are your stats up to date? If so, why not try phase 3 instead of going through the cruel phases 1 and 2...

    Wow lots of people! Hi!

    Miss14 good luck! How are you doing?

    Maintainer - my stats are up to date yes :) I think I'll do one more day of Attack (today) like the website suggested, and then try the cruise phase, but I will definetly consider your suggestion of going straight to phase 3. I didn't know I was allowed to do that!

    The weirdest thing happened for to me yesterday, I was preparing lunch for today (tuna and boiled egg) and the smell instantly made me feel sick, even though I had that for lunch the same day. It gave me a bit of a headache purely just the smell. I took it out the fridge to take with me to work this morning and I just couldn't stomach it, how can I be sick of tuna already? So now today I have a very pricey lunch of salmon!

    I have a headache this morning too, but I know this is completely normal. Didn't realise they'd kick in this quickly though! I've never been on a low carb diet before.

    Anyway the scales have shown a loss of 2lbs this morning, very happy with that. I don't have much to lose so I wasn't expecting a whole 2lbs to come off in a day! xxx

    I'm not finding it too bad actually! Never tried this diet before but am quite liking it, all my kind of food to be honest! How are you finding it? Great to see you lost 2lbs in one day as you said, you haven't got much weight to lose so its really encouraging! Well done, keep it up! :)

    To be perfectly honest with you Dolly - and PLEASE don't be offended - I really don't think this diet is for you at your already perfectly normal BMI... Phase 3 is more balanced, doesn't cut out food groups and would give youu a perfectly adequate weight loss combined with some exercise. You'd need to stick to the rules, mind ;)

    Stick around though - we'd love to have another person on Phase 3 - telling us what they're eating... etc.

    No Offence taken at all Maintainer! I think you are completely right. I think this diet is a little bit too extreme for my current weight.

    I've decided to go to Weightwatchers. Realistically it wouldn't be healthy for me to lose weight fast, so I've decided it will be better for me over there.
