Don't you just hate it when....

I totally feel your pain! I don't think I've ever had a boss who understands what a migraine is. There was a while when I was on the pill, I was getting a couple each week and it was just horrendous. If you possibly can, stand your ground, and try not to let the guilt trip worry you too much because stress is so bad at making migraines worse! Just get snuggled up in the dark, eat what you can and feel better soon xxx

DYJHIW you're organising your best friend's hen do, text everyone (14 people) the plans last night and asked for immediate responses so that you can get final prices and make bookings etc and no one bothers to reply. Grr!!

Hope he's better soon Jess.

DYJHIW no1 daughter is playing Taylor Swift so loudly in her bedroom upstairs you feel like she's standing next to you as she's singing?!

thanks. x

It's day 2 of migraine (off work today) and your boss doesnt understand that a migraine isn't just a headache! He has just rang me to ask if I can go in this afternoon as they can't get cover. Sorry that's not my problem, I am entitled to be off sick without getting a guilt trip! I managed yesterday but im pretty sure I would be feeling better today if I hadn't had to work all day. :(

hugs hun, so know the feeling!! i suffer from migraines an i cant even go to the loo without been in to much pain :( HATE the migraines esp sicky ones. ugh... hope it shifts real soon! x

And I bet they're quick enough with comments etc on plans!! I organised a baby shower afternoon tea the other week & everyone was emailing like mad - when it came to confirming numbers, silence bar a couple! I named & shamed them in the email & that brought about swift responses!! Good luck :)

DYJHIW the person on the seat across from you in the train has no idea / doesn't care about the volume of his music....it's so distracting. I should be doing a bit if work (not ideal I know) but its annoyed me so much I'm on minimims!! I can hear the actual words....his eardrums will be wrecked!

Oh, train music can be terrible, although, I do listen to the radio sometimes, (through headphones of course),however the radio is on the lowest setting, so no one can hear it.
If someone next to me is a bit loud, I'll put my headphones in without plugging it, if it's really bad and people are looking round and tutting I do ask them politely to turn it down a bit - and I have been known when people play through their phone speaker to ask them to put their headphones on -
But I'm that sort of girl lol

I wouldn't listen to music on a train but at the gym mine are full blast because I can't hear it. Hope I don't upset anyone.

Dyjhiw you make two large chicken breasts with haggis inside wrapped in bacon and other bloody half doesn't want his. Hate food going to waste but the chicken was defrosted this morning so not sure it would even keep til tom or how it would taste cold....what a waste. Debating takin haggis out and tryin save the chicken for lunch argh

Ok any of you that have suffered migraines before help me please! :( at the end of day 2 and after not being sick since this morning and starting to feel better now gone downhill again. Had imigran recovery yesterday, then migraleve pink (apparently took this too late but waited till today as can't take it with imigran) doc recommended soluble asprin and other painkillers, I've got cocodamol plus bought some of the soothing cool forehead pads. Any other ideas? at this rate I will be off work tomorrow too and I'm not sure how understanding boss will be, plus bf is getting annoyed that I'm ill again and losing money (which really helps!) :(

Try a decongestant, and a hayfever tablet. Could be sinus related x

hiya hun im sorry to hear youre still feeling **** :(
i take paracetamol with codeine which you can get over the counter in boots, but pure codeine is better but you will need to get that from a doc. also ive been given naprosyn which is a really strong ibuprofen type drug i believe but it makes me go to sleep lol. i think buying the paracetamol with codeine in is better than getting migraleive because you can take more doses of it in a day, but it might make you feel a bit wasted lol xxxxx

I think I may still have pure codeine from my hospital stay, only took cocodamol (think this is paracetamol and codeine together?) at 6 though so need to wait a few hours. Thanks xxx

ahh ok yeah pure codeine is probably the best. also ive used something called PARAMOL in boots, they come in a black box and are usually behind the counter theyre strong ive used them when ive had bad teeth before (got a lecture from pharmacist asking if i was over 16 bla bla) xxxx
