eee look another food diary!

All supermarkets do red curry paste, just the proper Asian ones are by far the best, I think I've tried most supermarket ones now, I live in a city tho so it's quite easy for me to get ahold of some. I have loads of them now! Got some Tom Yam paste today so making thai noodle soup tomorrow :) can't wait! Bf is making us an Asian banquet too, doesn't sound massively SW friendly so maybe flexi syn day for me. Love that peanuts are a hexB now as I can make pad thai too, got some pad thai noodles at the Asian store today too and ramen! It's so lame I get this excited about food! Xx

Ohhh double check my SYNS tho incase I worked it out wrong, I don't think I did, but I'm rubbish at that

It's fantastic to be excited at food. I bet your kids eat everything cos of it. I worry that my boys are fussy cos I don't cook interesting stuff for them, all they ever want is a roast or sausages!

Sent from my HTC Desire S using MiniMins

they are reasonably good, its quite hard as when they go to their dads they eat pretty badly, so I've always tried really hard to teach them about healthy food and food that makes you big and strong. They can't seem to get over their dislike of tomatoes, and Jack HATES mushrooms, but they eat any meat, most fish adam even loves mussels! and most veg, they won't eat spicy things, but then I didn't like them either when I was little, I think thats something you grow to like when you're older isn't it. Its funny as now they always ask if they can have fruit as a snack, which is great, and if we go to town they never ask for macdonalds or anything they always want sushi or chinese food. I've always thought its really important to teach them young, plus its good as we all eat the same, and when they're at their dads Dan and I can have the nice spicy stuff the boys won't eat. x

Have a busy busy day of essay prep and going to see the hobbit late this avo, Soooooooooooooooooooo excited, we've been waiting like a year to see it since we saw the teaser trailer last year. Going to try very hard to be good at the flicks, but if I want some bad stuff I'll have it, I might have some ben and jerrys maaaybe. :) Bf is cooking us a massive asian feast, looks and sounds lovely, but not hugely SW friendly, so might just flexi syn as theres no way I'll be going over 100 anyway. Had a lovely catch up sleep got up about 11ish, needed it so much! So feeling positive about getting a good start on this essay today and finishing tomorrow ready for hand in monday. Obviously missed breakfast so just had a breakie lunch, yum!

EE DAY - Saturday

Hello! Xx

Well my flexi syn day did not go to plan, I said 80 in my head but ended up more like 100, it's amazing how it adds up if you keep track, so I'll have to write yesterday off and do what I usually do and keep my SYNS low the rest of the week, thinking 8-10 a day then at least I make some back! Had another mega sleep was so good! Can't face this stupid essay and its in tomorrow. Although its only 15% of my final grade for this 1 module so I think I'm getting into that I really don't care mindset, although once I start writing it might be ok. It's all reflective so at least I can write in the first person so not really strictly academic writing which is going to make it much easier to write. (I hope!)

Food last night was amazing!! Bf did such a feast and everything was so so Lush. I've put a photo up so you's can see! The whole meal only used 3 tbsp of nut oil and 1 tbsp cornflour so much much lower SYNS than a takeaway. Oh apart from the ribs as they are high, but I only had 2. So much off plan food but its ok. I planned it and back on it this morning.

Ok! Food today!

Sunday - EE day

Breakfast : leftover food from last night, some rice and chicken and beef salad. (2syns)

Milky bar mini (3syns) mini crunchie (4syns)

Total SYNS : 12

That curry looks lush I need me some of that :-D xx well done on the loss too love

It was SOOO good Laura! Thank u! I doubt it'll still be a loss after yesterday xx

Hiya! Ah that's canny! Yeah I went back when I was 26 as I took voluntary redundancy so I could afford to clear all my debt to go back to the beginning. It is pretty hard, especially trying to run and house and kids with all the work but I'd def recommend it to anyone, it's made me have so much more confidence in my abilities, I never really thought I was academic or clever enough for Uni but having a really good year at college and good 1st yr result has made me feel good. Plus it's good for my kids to see me trying really hard to better myself, I think!

What would you like to study? And welcome :) xx

Aww I think it's fantastic that your studying for your degree whilst balancing running a home, caring for your children, let alone fitting in Slimming World. I'm sure it can't be easy, but I bet it's very rewarding!:)

I can definitely relate to the feeling of wanting to better yourself, I want to have a career, not just a job, something I can stick my teeth into and challenge myself! I've always been interested in Social Work and Child Psychology. So hopefully something along those lines:).

Your meals are looking lovely!! Is it weird that I love looking at food photos?!… Nothing like a bit of foodpOrn;) Lol xx

Aw thanks love, SW isn't hugely different from how I cooked before it, it's just cutting back on the treats a bit and booze!

That would be super interesting, I like that my degree gives me a lot of choices I could do a MA in lots of diff child services and get a job, child psychotherapy just seems so interesting so that's fingers crossed where I'll be! Haha our foods have been nice this last few days, thanks! I look at food constantly! We went to Thailand last summer and are pretty obsessed with Asian foods now, yum!

How's your SW week been?? Xx

Today has been HARD work! Was up until 6am doing my essay, reasonably happy with it actually despite leaving it all until the last minute. Had to get up at 11 so not enough sleeps! Didn't even get to eat until 5pm, so soooo hungry! Which is never good always makes me want to snack later on. So going to bed and hoping I don't get the urge. Cut my finger pretty badly making tea and it hurts, boohoo! I'm a klutz! So cute seeing my boys playing football tonight, they started training today, bless them! In their little Newcastle strips :)

Ok foods!

Uh oh! Knew the evening insane hunger would get me after waiting til 5pm to eat, 10pm weetabix, can't sleep as still hungry so I got some tomato soup and bread. Now full and sleepy. And love actually is on :) this film makes me sad and happy at the same time. Love it!

Ah not seen love actually in ages love it! Makes me feel warm and fuzzy lol!

Least you made sensible options when it was late and you were starving.

Agree with above balancing uni, kids and diet is amazing! X

Ah thanks love! Yeah I wanted cheese toasties so pleased I didn't give in!

Decided not to go to Uni today as its snowed so much and no doubt we'll get sent home anyway as the metros all start being crap when it doesn't stop snowing, just took the doggie for a big walk and she loved it! So cute! Totm appeared today which explains the insane hunger last night, going to do a sneaky tweak and just save my hex's from my binge last night so today will count the cereal and milk for my hexA and b, oops! Ha! Gonna get ontop of my Uni planning as well, and start working on my essays for April now so it's not insane amounts of work then. Bf is making dinner so EE day.
