Hi there, I started SW just over a week ago, I managed to loose 4lb in my 1st week (yipeeeee) I am just wondering if some of you could point my in the right direction for items to have in my cupboards. I have fruit, yoghurt, changed sugar for sweetex, butter for low fat and the same for cheese. Any help in this direction would be appreciated.
Thanks

I always have cans of beans (kidney, pinto, red beans etc) and tomatoes in my cupboards so that I can whip up a chili in no time. It's one of my staple meals. Pasta and Laughing Cow Light Cheese Triangles, frozen veggies (green beans, sweetcorn, peas etc) and frozen fruits (blueberries). I'm mostly happy to plan my meals but there are occasions when I'm just hungry and need something quickly--my saviour so far has been making sure that I have something that can be on my plate within about 10 minutes--either a portion of homemade chili/soup/etc (that I've made and frozen in advance) or a bowl of pasta with frozen veggies whizzed through it and Laughing Cow triangles melted on top.

Thank you ladies for the pointers I really appreciate your advice, and will defo be putting most of the stuff on my next shopping list :)
I know that was a bit of a question but me being newbie to the whole diet/SW world I have not got a clue :)

My cupboard/fridge/freezer staples:

Herbs/spices
stock cubes
baked beans
kidney beans
chopped tomatoes
passata
laughing cow light
quorn bits or sausage (depending what's on offer)
muller lights (though i typically buy them each day now - otherwise tend to over-indulge).
new potatoes are always in fridge, plus other veggies (leek, onions, beans, mushrooms).
scan bran
mugshots
rice
pasta

that in fact probably lists most of my cupboard anyhow. :)

.

I always try to have my cupboards stocked with:

Fat free noodles
Baked beans, hundreds of tins!
Spaghetti
Baked Potatoes
Muller lights, chocolate sprinkle ones

Wow thanks ladies, I even went and invested in a George Forman griller today to get rid of that horrible FAT wen grilling meat, my steamer is out too :) Hey what a bargain too, £78 in Argos (it should have been) £29.99 I paid for it, thats a double loss of £s for me this week :) Once again thanks for your help and advice I appreciate it ♥

I'll often eat beetroot and pickled onions straight from the jar if I'm hungry.

I agree with the SW chips yum yum - do go through loads of potatoes tho lol

I love pickled gherkins, they are free and go lovely with quark or cottage cheese.

Well done on your loss so far.

beanfeasts are good, asda chick pea dahl, quorn lamb grills, cottage cheese, bacon, low fat cheese.
