    This morning i woke up and my mouth was literally stuck together with nastiness :( it tasted vile and i was nearly sick!! ive not had this before.... i drank 6 litres of water yesterday so i surely cant be dehydrated!!

    anyone else get this??

    Funny cos I had the same this morning!MAD!Dunno where that comes from.6 Litres is too much tho!Too much water can be actually really dangerous keep it between 4-5 Max!

    Water is fine aslong as its spread out evenly throughout the day!

    that nastiness is an effect of ketosis!!!!! Rank isnt it!!!! but worth it! just! lol

    i used to drink about 4 litres a day before i started so i dont think 6 is excessive for me, pharmacist said its fine:) my body is used to a lot of fluid:)

    i drink 6 sometimes 7litres of water throughout the day, as i am always thirsty, chemist said this is fine as long as you spread it out.
    i always wake up with a bad taste in my mouth, cannot wait to brush my teeth.

    i usually have the bad taste but this was awful.... nasty lol

    Me too- It's NASTY!! LOL! Though a sign we're burning nasty fat (ie- in ketosis) so I can put up with it!

    I regularly drink 5-6 litres of fluids a day (at least 3l of 'pure' water) without any ill effects. It's only if you drink a lot in a short space of time that it can be dangerous.

    Yup...the breath is pretty nasty in my direction as well...I'm thinking crocodile, after its eaten a dead dog sandwich.
    Can't get over how much water all you guys are drinking. Was feeling pretty proud, and bloated after 2 1/2 ltrs. Maybe when the weight loss revvs up in the weeks to come I can persuade myself to guzzle more.
    So cheeky I guess its welcome to ketosis time...whayhey!!

    yuck i know its horrible - i always wake up with a yellow tongue too - gross!!

    Not had that really but always have a bad taste inb my mouth and ketosis breath yuk and I am constantly brushing my teeth,
    I have about 3 - 4 litres of water a day-maybe 6 litres is too much-not sure :)

    My mantra has been "the more you drink, the more you shrink"! (within reason of course!!)

    Yip , Had foul breath and yellow tongue all the way through TFR but refeeding now and things are back to normal . Used to brush my teeth and tongue first thing in the morning too. The listerine strips are good to have in your bag if you get caught out .

    Slimming World, Dietchef, Lipotrim - now maintaining (I hope!).
    The other reason for the mouth thing is that normally when we eat (eat? eat? what was that again?? ;)) the act of chewing removes lots of 'stuff' - bacteria and suchlike, from our tongues. Because that's not happening (and this also contributes to the smelly breath) we need to do it manually by either brushing the tongue or using a tongue scraper - or both!

    It's better to do it as part of normal teeth cleaning and therefore regularly but I must admit I tend to only do it when I feel it's necessary ...... weeeeeeeeeel I can't smell my breath ...... ;)

    Re water intake. LT told me 2lts minimum, 4.5lts maximum or you would be washing away and peeing out the nutrients. This may be different for you if you were used to drinking loads before - I don't know.
    NB. These amounts don't include water in the shakes or hot drinks.
