Hi Becky

When my boys were younger (now 22 & 19) we went to Centre Parcs for New Year. The boys, being very sporty, loved it there (swimming, biking, skating, golf, tennis football courses etc) and the choice of bars and restaurants means something for everyone - nothing closed for bank holidays - it was usual open hours all year round.

1/2 hour before midnight NYE there was a torch lit procession through the park and then an amazing firework display over the lake.

We always went to Elveden Forest but I'm sure they have a centre parcs in Cumbria now.

Just an idea (and a nice trip down memory lane for me).

Hi,

Thanks for this, we've actually booked Centre Parcs now, it's the one up in the Lakes that used to be Oasis.

I'm very excited, and I'm going to be thin (fingers crossed) for the celebrations.

It's great being able to do all those sporty activities with your family instead of just sitting around at home watching all the old repeats on the TV and being tempted to finish off the choccies and xmas cake
