Fasting before a cholesterol test 'is a waste their time'

Hi Jim,
I have also heard this before - that in a fasting blood cholesterol only the triglycerine part is affected by diet, the other variables (the HDL and LDL cholesterol) are not affected by food before the test.
I think thats is these two HDL and LDL that are the most important- the good and bad cholesterol.

Please correct me if I am mistaken anyone.

(I never bother to fast for blood tests by the way.):D

I wouldn't have bothered Jen, but I've always been instructed to. I won't bother in future that's for sure.
