Filling up on carbs?

Does anyone else tend to eat loads of carbohydrate high foods and not enough protein? I find as a veggie, I find it to easy to grab bread, toast, ect.. I love mash, pasta and rice, but often neglect to eat enough protein.
I do get enough protein as I have shakes and quorn but usually after I've bloated myself full of stodgy stuff.
Easy to get fat being a veggie, if your not careful x
