finding things tough

I need a pep talk ...really I do.

I cant get back into VLCD, I really have to do this, I really do. I know I do, I know I want to but its tough.

I was 16st7lb and I am now 13st7lb ....
so what the h&ll is going on in my head, I have come so far so why am I stuck? :cry:

My other half has promised me a tummy tuck if I want or need it when I am happy with my weight, I am going on vacation to somewhere hot n sunny in a few months ..... tummy tuck, bikini ..... why can I not get back into the weight loss zone?

Oh hun... all l can say is hugs. When am low and find it sooo hard l go n spy on my friends on Fb sad l know but it helps me. Focus on that bikini hot body and you`ll find the strength.

.............I know where you are coming from Bobbi I really do. It is hard but you have done so well. Sometimes I think then when we have lost quite a lot of weight and we feel better about ourselves we become a little complacent but the trouble with that is we relax a little too much and the weight tends to go back on and we find ourselves right back where we started and every time this happens it is harder and harder to motivate ourselves to get back on track. Just think about what you have achieved...........you know you can do it. I know you can do it. Good luck & let us all know how you get on. xx

Bernice, I think you are right. I am finding it hard too with all this december stuff going on, the socialising - just when I get a few days total meal replacement then along comes a saturday and some more food on the go.
I used to be so good.

you have done so good so far. how about doing an add a meal week along with the shakes just so that you are eating something?! it is hard to get back on track but dont give up now. you can do it ;)

I think we've all been there Bobbi. I really struggled to get back into it a couple of weeks ago but have now been back 100% for the past week and am back in the right place now.

What got me back into it was actually giving myself permission to cheat last Tuesday night. Ive been dieting since the beginning of May without cheating until recently and I think Id just had enough. By allowing myself a minor blowout - a chocolate bar and half a chinese - I felt so much better and was able to begin again. Until then it was little cheats here and there for a couple of weeks and I just couldnt stop them. Might be worth a try.

Bobbi try doing an add a meal week and see if that helps. I'm lucky enough to be finding it pretty easy so far but I have had a few days where I had to have an extra pack.

well even just venting about this last night has given me the courage to start again. Today so far I have had two packs and am planning on having a third for dinner tonight. My hubby is working late so the kids will have left overs from last nights dinner which actually makes things easier ....

I think I am going to start a diary here so I sort of feel accountable for a while to I get back into ketosis and see if I can kick this food thing going on in my head. I really want this so bad I just cant go back to being the weight I was again.

I've found it really helpful to be able to switch to low carb eating, which I did when on holiday, so I still felt like I was eating / normal! But was able to stay in ketosis. It makes such a difference that you can eat some food if you need to, but it's worth finding ways of doing it that don't take you out of ketosis, as that's the hard bit - then you need to 'get back on the wagon'.... but don't beat yourself up about it, you're doing amazingly well... just focus on what it will mean to you when you've lost the weight xxxx
