First week

Lost 9.6 lbs. I was really desparate, everything out of control. This first week has been weird and emotional but think Im getting the hang of it. Evenings are hard.
Other things changed too at the same time as starting the LT but feel I have myself back now. What a releif. And have reversed about 2 months of food frenzy.
I've been reading everyone's posts and felt so encouraged I decided to try LT so thanks!

Well done, i am on day ten today and i feel great having not been binge eating in the evenings. I am really hoping this diet is going to get me out of the cycle of comfort eating, i eat when i happy, when i sad, dont need an excuse really so fingers crossed. Well done on ur weight loss, feels great!

Well done, and good luck!

I am starting LT today, have been putting it off for ages. But after a similar out of control food frenzy like you describe, I have to do something. So, today it starts. I am quite worried about it, especially worried about what affect it will have on my mood, as I can be pretty grouchy (under statement) when hungry. But I have a month off work (baby number 3 born last week) to support my wife during the summer hols, so decided now was the time whilst away from work stress and food pressures!

Well done to you again, that is a great start, and encouraging for me!!

Hi thanks for your encouraging words. Its nice to be understood. I want to move beyond this food problem too so perhaps this diet will work. About moods, I found the emotions I'd been trying to force down were strange to confront. But I think I'd been trying to hide them when the eating just made them so much worse - then I had the emotional problem, and on top a huge problem of food, sneaking, selfhatred, panic - far worse than the original feelings. Anyway good luck to us all.

Macabar, you're SO right about confronting the feelings. The only time I miss food is, I find, when something upsets me, or when other things are not going well. I have recognised that i was eating to obliterate them and I hope I'll learn to Deal with them now.

well done with your loss, now youv'e got the first week out of the way, just stick to it as it will become routine, drink plenty of water & if youv'e got the time take up new hobby. Well done:)

what a great loss hun! i found night times the worst as well - give a week or two and you'll be getting to 10pm and realising you've only had one shake!! (which is very naughty - but what happened to me yesterday)

well done you are doing great. i have just had 3rd wi and i feel l have got used to it mostly now, you will feel better each day and be lighter at the end of it!
