Probably a no - but I have a packet of this in my cupboard going to waste? Can it be used (in small doses) in baking at all - was thinking the muffin recipe.

Instead of waiting for reply I have just used around 10g in my muffin mix - but then again as per earlier thread they are made with wheat bran on this occasion not oat bran!!!

To the shops I go for OAT bran this time - what a dolt!

Flaxseed is wonderful stuff - but it's also over 30% fat, so probably should be left until you stabilise.

Thanks for that - on a web string I found someone who said Dr Dukan allows 1 teaspoon a day - prob as a tolerated item - as majority of fat is from omega sources.

Not sure if this info can be verified though?

Yes, I can see how it would fall into to the "benefits far outweigh the negatives" category - like eggs and oatbran.

And flax is the most wonderful plant - think of all the wonderful stuff it produces - cloth, paper, food, cricket bat oil...
