I pretty much did when I had my cast on, ate all the time as was housebound and bored! When I got my cast off only one pair of jeans still fitted as I had been living in jogging bottoms :-( luckily I couldn't weigh for a while so don't know exactly how much I put on so ate better for a few weeks then restarted sw :) well on way to recovery now but thanks for your well wishes! Where do you get stuff to make your nori wraps? Always fancied trying to make my own veg sushi but havn't tried yet. X

Thursday - a red (supposedly) medium syn day

Breakfast - toast, pâté, tomatoes (s)
Snack - apples (s s)
Lunch - chicken salad ( s s s)
Snack - chai tea latte (2.5 syns, HEXA)
Dinner - squid, salad (s)
Gin (4 syns) potato squares (10 syns), white choc (4 syns)
Fruit

HEXA - milk
HEXB - toast
Syns - 20.5

And I'm still hungry!!!
 
Well I think I need to develop a strategy for the weekend as I'm spending it with my grandfather. It is as follows ........

1) accept I'm not going to stay within my daily syn allowance.
2) keep count of my syns & try to stay under 20 for Friday & Saturday & under fifteen for Sunday.
3) keep full on fruit, not chocolate & cake!
4) do not have any syns before Friday afternoon or after sunday lunch.
5) do not have my HEXA or b on Friday, I will probably have them as oil or cheese in my meal.

I will try & keep my syns down by not having butter on my toast (maybe tomatoes instead?), take green tea instead of lots of milky tea & not drinking too much booze!

I just wish that I hadn't had quite so many syns today though .........................

To be honest if doing it like this means I stick to plan for longer then I think it is better to do this to stop me feeling deprived. And because I like a drinkie at the weekend!

I have been on the plan for 18 months now taking time off for holidays and weekends away. It has never felt like a diet as such and it's something that I could do pretty much forever hopefully lol x

Ok, a bit of an update on today's progress.

I have not had any HEX's yet today - point 5 check!

I have only had one syn so far today - point 4 kind of half checked!

I have green tea in my bag. Check!

I'm on the coach & live to snack whilst travelling. I put on about half a stone when I was visiting university because I spent so much time scoffing on trains! But today I have to snack on squid, grilled chicken & fruit. I may be getting odd looks from my fellow travellers but i am staying in plan!

I would imagine at my grandparents I will have waiting for me either ham, salad & new potatoes or curry & chips, one of which will obviously be much better for me. Either way I shall accept what they have very kindly prepared for me & flex my syns for the rest of the week.

I tried for an extra easy day yesterday, with a slightly more red slant. I'm not sure though if I had my 1/3 superfree in or not though & whether I should syn the rice I had?

Breakfast - eggs & bacon (no superfree)
Lunch - chicken & salad (superfree), prawn & chilli dipping sauce (1 syn) fruit salad (superfree)
Snack - squid & chicken, fruit salad
Dinner - tikk masala with pilau rice, strawberries

No, looking at the I def didn't do EE so red it is. That means I had 27 syns.

Today is looking much better food wise so hopefully I can make up for it a bit.
 
Saturday's food

Breakfast - toast & butter (3 syns), fruit salad
Snack - plums, banana, ham, squid
Lunch - bread (11 syns) ham pickle (.5 syn)
Chocolate peanuts (6 syns)
Dinner - ham, salad, one new potato, 2 tsp mayo
2 glasses wine (12 syns)

Syn total - 32.5 eeeeeekkkkkkk!

Snack - seafood sticks, banana
Lunch - beef, carrots, swede, cabbage, roast potatoes (5 syns), gravy (4 syns)

So far this week I've used 95 syns giving me 10 syns from now until Wednesday. Im going to allow myself 5 instead to be in line with the minimum recommended amount & make sure I do some exercise.

I only want half a pound this week to get to my stone award, so all systems go!

On the plus side I had a lovely weekend!
 
I've just tried the creamy cauliflower curry & I have to say it was yummy. I can hardly believe its free & on red. It was very filling. I just added onion, chicken & spinach.

I shall definitely have it again.

Today was a good day, I stuck to plan & had a spring in my step. It's star week so I've been in a bit of pain but once I got into the swing of the ibuprofen my day went fine. As a result of * week I am 3.5lbs heavier than on Friday but hopefully that will come off again by Thursday.

So today's food:
Breakfast - toast, smoked salmon pâté,
Snack - fruit salad (s)
Lunch - creamy cauliflower curry with chicken & spinach (s s s), fruit salad (s)
Snack - banoffee yoghurt (1 syn), malteaser bunny (3 syns)
Dinner - chicken salad (s s), chilli sauce (1 syn)
Snack - 2 x banana, yoghurt

HEXA - missed
HEXB - toast
Syns - 5

I had a lovely evening at the theatre with a friend & managed not to drink any booze making it a really low syn day!

The only bad bit of the day was discovering that superdrug have stopped doing the small 4 syn flake bars, my favourite use of syns! I'm going to get a box of 99 flakes but am worried that I'm not going to be able to control myself around them!
 
Another day on track, although I'm starting to feel quite run down so I'm already counting down to the weekend!

I've had an awful lot of fruit today which may mean I've had too much sugar.

Also I've been doing well with my exercise. I haven't been going to the gym ( I just don't enjoy it enough). This week I have been getting up a bit earlier every morning & doing 10 mins of Pilates. I walked 3 miles yesterday & 1.5 today. Also I've been using weights in the evening to hopefully tone my arms. Let's just hope I can keep it up!
