Hi there hun, sorry to hear about the diarrhoea and stomach cramps. All I can suggest is if you need to eat you stick to really plain foods. Steer clear of the shakes etc due to the milk proteins in them as these will proabably irritate the stomach and make the diarrhoea continue.

If you are happy to come off the plan for a few days then this might be the best option and eat dry toast or crackers if you are hungry. These will be gentle on your tummy. Just make sure you keep up the water intake as with diarrhoea you will become dehydrated.

Is best to steer clear of immodium and the likes as you need to get the bug out of your tummy.

hugs hun, hope it clears soon

    Charlie xx

watch your fluid intake, and contact NHS24 to see if you can take immodium (I know with some viral things they suggest not to) and although you think its food poisoning its possible it might be viral.

You run a risk of becoming dehydrated and losing electrolytes etc too, so try and get some diorlyte (or something similar) from the pharmacist to help the gut better absorb water and replace lost electrolytes.
