Food Porn.......Induction

I saw somewhere about grated parmesan being heated in the microwave to form a flat disc then moulded around the base of a bowl & shaped in to a taco and left to harden up.
 
Thanks guys!!! I must start experimenting more with my mince.....unused to love savoury mince n mash but now I can't have gravy/stock nor mash either :(

Oxo cube, and I add some of my current addiction, nandos piri, piri sauce,mits lethal but really good!
 
Nandos piri piri is my favourite too at the moment!!

Are we allowed oxo cubes during induction?

No idea about oxo on induction I chucked it in there, I'll deal with the consequences, don't think I've had an oxomcube for moths either! :(
 
Lol, I used to love my home made gravy....meat fats, flour, oxo cubes n water from the veg!!!

We used to call it heart attack gravy! But it's the best... I really miss it!

Just read up on OXO cubes, they have about 2.3 carbs in but also contain MSG, wheat flour etc... I'll have to experiment and see if they effect me at all..

It would be great to incorporate them into my diet for a nice change x

I searched through this thread and I couldn't find an answer to my questions. So if anyone knows I would appreciate it, Do you think I can use brown sugar, and am I allowed to drink cocoa powder and cappuccino. (I'm a big lover of these and I don't really love coffee). Please answer. :)
 
Maybe you could make your own cappuccino as your allowed coffee make it with warm frothy cream ( I have a hand milk frother) and unsweetened cocoa powder on top.....maybe?????

Brown sugar as with any sugars is a definite no as it defeats the whole purpose if this way of eating with it being a ketogenic diet! Unless its Splenda etc, but that can make you stall too!

Drinking chocolate isn't allowed at all on induction, OWL etc.....

Cappuccinos are made with dried milk powder so will be extremely high in carbs particularly if they contain sweeteners....

There is a sticky on what you can and cannot eat whilst on Atkins at the top....

No sugar, no milk, but Splenda and cream work well in coffee but as ^^ above, it can stall and so can cream if you don't watch what you're doing.

Plenty of stickies at the begining to have a trawl throuh and of course the book is the bible for this woe!

I like it, say a 4. It doesn't taste like rice but I like the texture anyway. Add a little tutmeric & it's great with curry. There are loads of ways to cook it, dependent on if you want to,mimic fried rice or normal rice - Google it. But I would generally grate as much cauliflower as you want into a bowl & microwave, covered, without water for 2 mins & taste. Do for longer if you want it softer. Throw in to a pan with oil & veg if you want more of a fried rice

Ooh that's a good idea photographing my dinners.

Tonight was steak, garlic butter and cheese topped spinach. Super yum! Go away slimmers world past with your fat free steak, no butter and cheeseless spinach!
