Food Porn.......Induction

Haven't tried anything yet but it does look good. I had the paperback version before and didn't use it. The photos in this definitely will encourage me to try a lot of the recipes. Loads of good ideas.

I like that they give sample menus for the different plans. Especially handy for induction.

Got it on amazon for about a fiver and free postage, so initial thoughts are that it has been worth the money : )

Oh that sounds v interesting....may go and have a look xx

Oh I am a charity shop girl for sure! Love em.

That's the one I have, I got it for £1.99 in the charity shop and when I went into WH Smiths later that day the exact same one was £14.99, gotta love the charity shops. :)

That's even more of a bargain than mine!

Have you made much from it? What can you recommend? Want to try the feta cheese salad - looks gorgeous.

I have only made a few things I wanted it more for the diet itself really as it has been so long.........

When I started and was clueless my sister said hit the charity shops they have every diet book going (including my WW and SW books) lol!! :D

I am not very adventurous in the kitchen aka lazy cow lol!

I made the New England fish chowder not bad but a bit watery, next time I will add some mushed up cauli for thickness as that is my new thickenening agent.

This morning I had the crab and mushroom omelette though I had run out of mushrooms and had no sherry.

And I made the coleslaw but it was much too hot for me so I ended up binning it after one serve. :(

I was going to have a go at making the mousakka for dinner without the tomatoes.

See what I have found and you may already know this is that not all of the recipes are for Induction so you have to be very careful. It doesn't actually say on the recipe part so you think "Oooh that looks nice" then when you flick back to the 4 phases and look at the Induction phase there is no mention of said yummy recipe.

Yes I noticed that. It's a bit annoying that the recipes don't state which phase they can be used in. Should have been a basic necessity I would have thought. Obviously not!

Oh my twist on the Atkins recipe book moussaka (not for Induction but mine is I hope!!) is divine even though I say so myself!!! :p

I got my Atkins illustrated hardback cook book for 0.50p and my Atkins for life hardback cookbook £1.24 both brand new from Amazon last week :0) the latter being a bit too americanfied using Atkins bake mix in a load of the recipes!!

Oh and Atkins pasta etc, not available of course over here apart from online where it's mega pricey!!

Hi jo - whats the exact name of the first one ie the one without all the bake mix etc. want to buy it but can only see the "new diet" one - is that it?
Thnx

Aaargh I was robbed - paid a fortune for my book compared to you lot!

Never mind, will just have to use it enough to make it worth the price.

Made the cheese sauce and chicken stock for cream of chicken soup last night. Yummmm.
