I've got whole nut peanut butter in the cupboard - must check the carb count. Mind you I think those cookies would probably trigger the munchies in me...

Honda I had a cinnamon mim for dinner last night as I wasn't hungry enough to cook a proper dinner. Was v yummy!

Can I say (again) I LOVE THIS BOARD!! :D

Loving this thread but can't help but put in a word of warning re peanut butter and mims with sweetner - if you indulge everyday then this could stall you! Keep your treat for occasional use or desperate moments. Also watch for trigger foods - i cant really let myself have peanuts....:(

Now the clean and green large plates of meat and veg - go for it:D
Xx

words of wisdom there! :worthy: and after my issue with too much sweetener on tuesday I wouldn't want a repeat of that!

Off to make a click at my breakfast :p

First attempt at Cheeseburger Pie, it was epic. And my fella loved it too! Added a fresh chillie to the mince mix so had a kick to it which worked really well with the creamy topping :D

I need to add something to the mince next time, yours looks delish and more cheesy than mine, what kind of cheese did you use and how much?

And what is that brown stuff on your lettuce? Surely not sauce???

My angel wing eggs, funky eh? Found some asda sausages that are quite low carb.

Is it just me or do sausage have the oddest skins now?

It's all looking lovely Silver! Xx

Looks yummy, loving the wings. :)

No it's not just you, I am finding the sausage skins thicker or something :( and quite expensive too :( I noticed that the Green & ??? are £3.00 for 6 sossies and the old usuals like Richmond or Walls are a quid a packet - sometimes for 12 when they are on offer. :(

You given us the recipe for that? Xx ;)

Yes will do it later, it's not GREAT, but ya know it's quite nice and I do get a bit fed of of meat, bacon, eggs, meat, bacon, eggs if you know what I mean. ;)

I think I also went wrong last time in that I didn't have enough fish in proportion to the amount of liquid......it's a steep learning curve here, because normally I would have chucked a couple of spuds into any soup for a thickener but I'm learning. :)

Looks delicious , how did you make the topping? :)

Just followed the recipe onthe Recipes Stickie, page one:

100ml double cream
3 eggs, beaten
2 heaped tbsp of mayo
150g mature cheddar

beat the eggs first, chuck in the rest of the ingredients and mix using a blender until smooth.

So did I but yours looks nicer. :)

i did cook it for longer than it said, maybe about half an hour and whacked the grill on for a couple of minutes just to probably brown the top. Maybe that did it lol!

NEW ENGLAND FISH CHOWDER

Serves 6

900g cod fillets
4 rashers bacon, diced
1 small onion, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp chopped parsley
500ml fish stock
1 bay leaf
1 tsp salt
ground black pepper to taste
500ml double cream

Cut the fish fillets in 2.5cm cubes.

Place the bacon in a deep saucepan over a low heat and saute until golden brown. Add the onion and saute until transparent, then add the parsley and cook for 1 minute more.

Add the fish stock, bay leaf, salt and pepper, then cover for a few minutes to combine the flavours. Add the fish and simmer for 10 minutes, then add the cream and warm until just heated through but do not let it boil.

Serve immediately.
