Food Porn.......Induction

Really Honda, shame. Maybe I've eaten soooo many eggs I can't taste it any more lol I did add a drop of vanilla so maybe that made a difference . Just had them with ham and cheese in the sandwich press flat but tasty.

Mmm .... Ham and cheese toastie! Lush!

not wanting to start any cravings off but...
oopsies with whipped cream.....yum :D

Angel, have you tried them ? No carbs so safe on induction etc and yes Honda it was lush .
I can only have food packs right as I'm doing a vlcd now but once I'm allowed conventional food, I certainly will! :) I've only got a few weeks of food packs left. Yippeee

Oh god what have I got myself into? A while back I was watching Saturday morning foodie programmes and decided one day I'd make Lorraine Pascal's Rioja-Braised Lamb Shank with Chorizo. Well, the day has come. I struggled home from the Big Tesco with all the ingredients today, and I'll be starting on it tomorrow afternoon. Gulp.

I was a vegetarian until 6 months ago! I'm scared! I've no idea what I'm doing! When is lamb done? I thought it was done rare, how can I cook it for two hours, even at gas mark 3?!The kitchen's going to look like a bombsite by the end of this. Totally lost my nerve on this one, I have.

(Worst part? OH will be eating his with mashed potato. :()

I cooked lamb for 8hrs and it was devine! It doesn't always have to be pink.....I'm well jel!

Righty this is my dinner tonight, salmon baked with nandos piri piri sauce and topped with bacon and mushroom cream sauce......yummy!

That sounds fab, I'll have to have a go.

Lamb shanks with chorizo pic below. HUGE meal, stuffed now! Not induction friendly because of the carrots (and wine and vinegar....), but other than that pretty kosher. It really was lovely. I've some gravy left over for my sausages too! :)

Mmmmm I could eat that right now!

Have really enjoyed reading every single bit of this thread. As a newbie it is really nice to see the photos of meals and know that my portions and combos are on the right track. Colour makes a lot of sense to me when looking at food and I always like to have a bit of green. Iphone at the ready from tomorrow onwards. I love cooking (I was accepted on the Great British Bake Off auditions - BUT have decided not to go through with it a) because work won't let me have Fridays off and b) I would have to TRY the cake. Maybe next year!!! T.V puts on 14lb afterall ;)
Anyway, I love cooking and will enjoy joining in with this thread.

Oh whale....I had the applicants on form and was gonna but there were terms in the small print that wouldn't allow me....:(

Cake is wicked, best stay away! Xxx

Glad you like this thread, and I love seeing what everybody else makes!

That looks lovely!

To be honest, looking at that recipe you could swap the Rioja for beef stock and simply take out the carrots to make it induction friendly. I'm slavering for Lamb shanks now!

Might not look like much but this was blooming lovely!

Can of tuna, spicy chorizo, mushrooms, courgette and spinach with a bit of butter, bousin and chilli powder. Nom Nom!
