Can someone please tell me if you can freeze Sausage Casserole (once cooked). the ingredients are as follows: Bovril, carrots, onions, tinned tomatoes, Mushrooms & Morrison's Sausages?

Just made a large casserole (far too much for me to each in one sitting) and don't want to waste any.

Thank you in advance

Lyn

Yes, pretty much anything can be frozen except lettuce and fruit/veg with high water content. Casserole freezes perfectly :D

Totally agree, however, I made some some vegetable soup at wkend and put some potatoes in it, I froze 3 portions of it, when I had a portion yesterday, the soup was absolutely fine but the potatoes so did not taste right, maybe next time Ill just freeze the soup and not the potatoes!

Hmm I haven't frozen potato's in soup before - maybe it was another ingredient that reacted?

Yep, that's fine - although you might find the veg is more soft when you defrost it.

Potatoes generally freeze fine, btu again lose their consistency to an extent - best type of potatoes to freeze is mashed ones!

I'd say so yes!

Yes you can !
