Total Solution Fresh Start

I'm am a complete novice when it comes to dieting. I made a start with Exante last week and fell completely of the wagon by day 5 so hoping that keeping a diary and reading some if the great success stories on here will help.

Start weight of 16st 10lbs and a BMI of over 30 means I an the heaviest I have ever been and have some work to do but seeing the stories and results on here has inspired me to succeed.

I have set myself a couple of targets apart from being fitter and havibg more energy. I want to be 2 stone down within the next 9 weeks in time to enjoy a weekend away at V Festival, following that I want to be at my target weight of 11st 7lbs by January 2014 ready for my annual Snowboard Trip.

I work 12 hour shifts days and nights in a Police Control room and have seen the lbs pile on in the last 7 years of working there, the job whilst mentally stimulating does involve a lot of sitting behind a desk. I snowboard once a year and have decided to make it a regular activity at a local indoor slope to boast the fat burning so signed up for a membership today.

I have the remainder of my Exante packs from last weeks failed attempt, the products are not as bad as I was thinking they would be. The shakes are all fine (I add extra water as found them a little thick), I am happy with the veg and Thai chicken soups and stomach the mushroom and tomato ones. The bars grow on you and are certainly more discreet at work.

So starting today I will be 100% Total Solution for the next 4 weeks, I plan to WI on Monday Mornings as this seems for some reason psychologically easier for me.

Thanks
Pete

Welcome and good luck! The first time I did a TFR diet I only lasted 5 days too! This time round I lasted 3 weeks before falling off the wagon and have only just got back on :)

Day one done and not to bad, had a vanilla shake for breakfast, a chocolate for lunch and the veg soup for tea. No headaches and no hunger. Managed 4 litters of water as well and a visit to the cinema to see Man of Steel and resisted all cravings for cinema food and probably saved a fortune in the process so a win/win :)

Good Luck, I have struggled too but just at the end of week one now, WI tomorrow. Going onto 2 packs and an evening meal for a couple days and see how i get on. I think if i know a food day is coming up i can keep going to get to it. Okay its only going to be meat and salad but hey, its food!! Well done on the restraint with the cinema food, i dont know if i would have done it tbh! lol.x

Welcome and good luck. if you stick at it you'll lose lots of weight.

Thanks guys and good luck with your meals, I'm not sure I have the restraint of having food and finding that being restricted to just my exante stuff is helping strangely.

I weighed in yesterday at 16st 7lb so it's working already after only two days 100%. I am not going to weigh now until next Monday so will be interesting to see what a difference a week makes as I am told the biggest losses are in the first week.

Been at work the last two days and starting nights this evening so trying to have my shakes etc during the day and get 2 or 3 litres of water down before I start as its easier than trying while at work. Will see how it goes.

Thanks for the support and good luck.

Pete

Hi Pete. Looking forward to hearing how much you've lost when you get weighed next Monday - it will be loads if you stay on track!!!!!

I failed once again, so disappointed in myself right now. A friend celebrated her birthday and was upset when lots of people canceled from her birthday meal so I went out and had a curry last night. Back in the wagon today and decided Friday will be my weigh in day I am back on 100% TFR from today and 3rd time is the charm. I am hoping my disappointment at my own weakness will do it this time.

Dont be disappointed but remember if you do go out and eat then eat something healthy (i know thats not easy in a curry house!) I had to go for lunch with my mum yesterday and told her i was on a diet, had a chicken salad with no dressing (and a tiny bit of coleslaw, man it was good!) and i have still lost 4 pounds this week and i still have 2 days til weigh in. It can be done to eat occasionally as, i feel, that we are human and we need to be able to socialise and interact with people. I dont know what you had last night but you can get spicy meats with no sauces (such as tikka) and salads so its all about making choices. Your not a failure, your not weak, you were being human and today you got right back on the horse and kept going. Its when you stop thats when you fail and you havent. Keep going Pete!

Thanks priorychick I really appreciate that and your absolutely right, I really wanted to be 100% though. I made bad choices last night and can't imagine the amount if carbs, calories and fat I consumed. I will take your advice and should the situation arise again (I have a team day out to the coast in July) I will make sensible healthy choices. Thanks again. So back to 16st 10lb it would seem and the only way now is down :)

Good luck, you can do it.xx

Hi Pete. One day out isn't the end of the world! If you stay on track you'll still have a good loss on Monday. Whenever I have a lapse I try to make a fresh start the next day and to not look back. There's no point in dwelling on it. New day, new start!
