I bought two oblong pottery tray type things, you know the ones you can do lasagne and shepherds pie in, i was just wondering if i freeze one and eat one for tea how will i cook it from frozen? put it in the oven frozen or let it defrost then put it in oven? im a bit confused HELP, Thanks x

I am by no means an expert ..... but I would take it out of freezer in the morning and put it in the oven, set the timer to cook/reheat it.... so that it is ready when you want to eat it in the evening...should be defrosted by the time the cooking time starts?? I even do with with roasts and other pieces of meat...and no one had gotten sick from food poisoning or anything like that!!

i have always defrosted it first, often take it out the night before and leave in fridge.

Daft question I know but can you freeze a lasagne once it's all made up? Would you cook it first so that the pasta is cooked? I normally just freeze the sauce as I didn't know about freezing pasta.

I make it as normal, cook and everything. Freeze.
When I want to eat, take out defrost and re heat
Yum
