frustrated fatty mcfattypuss' diary

Ooo, not long to go now. I've tried SW chips made with fry light and they are delish especially with mushy peas. Mmmmm. Enjoy your fry up on Friday.

well day one done and considering the lack of healthy options till friday didnt do too bad some pretzels, a banana, nakd raisins, carrot sticks, jacket spud beans and cheese i reduced how much marg i put on and healthy extra'd some cheese and synned the rest but still 17.5 syns isnt great at all but could have been way worse i reckon looked up freddo bars and they are 5 syns so think they will be my choccy of choice when i get the sweet tooth. I've realised that working at asda and doing sw is gonna be harder than i realised with all the yummy things customers buy and the temptation everywhere but big positive for me today is that sometimes end of line stuff or stuff close to sell by date is offered to staff with proceeds going to charity i could buy 5 cadbury caramel eggs for a £1 i figured i could get them as I could have one as a syn treat but I know what I'm like I'd hve ate all 5 when I got home from work so I didnt get them the only way I can keep choccy in my life is just to buy one small thing occasionally I cant have a lot in the house and be good

I really wish those nakd raisins were free tho the cola ones and the cherry ones are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good

oh I'm a little confused about frylight its oil so should it be synned or is it a healthy extra or what I cant seem to find it in my book

I really should come on minimins more often :)

well done for going! the number on the scales doesn't matter now- as soon as you stepped off, thats when your journey has started- aim never to see that number again :) only when you tell people you serve what your starting weight was-and watch as their gob falls open.

I work at asda too- on checkouts :) and yes- the temptation is damn evil sometimes- but the fresh produce is great sometimes- i grabbed a few whoopsies after my shift tonight- was rushing round because i was wandering around with a colleague- and was too distracted listening to her than buying stuff- so must go armed with a list tomorrow....my shift finishes at 9 so hoping for some cheapies at that time!!!

Just stick at it- I gave myself 12 weeks to really decide whether sw worked for me or not. it obviously did work :) just give yourself some time- be kind to yourself- there's nothing you can do about what's happened over the last few years to make you the size tht you are- what you can do is mould the future, where you are skinny, healthy and happy ;)

I think the above quote says it all really. Stick in there, it'll get easier, and when you start seeing results you'll want it even more. Good luck.

I know how you feel. I work at KFC during holidays away from uni and my god its so tempting. All part of the challenge though, stick in there you can do it :)

mushy peas are the work of the devil we will have no more talk of them in here:D

well shoot way to go me i put my name down for a first aid course cos a- i get paid to do it so thts an extra 18 hours pay in 1 week and get an increase in my hourly rate what of course i forgot is that means I will miss my first weight in wy to go me and the great impression i'll make lol

well having a really bad day and its only day 3 lol just had a lot of poop to deal with and its sent me on a binge but on the plus side a normal me binge would be an entire dominos pizza crisps choccy cake etc today my binge consists of an extra freddo bar (on top of my already syned one) a mini pack of nakd lime infused raisins a smooth toffee muller light an apple and a sharon fruit (well it will be when i figure out how u eat the little beggar) and an apple so actually only I think an additional 7 syns on top of normal allowance so its not great that its happened so early on but at least i have minimised the damage so to speak

See, you gotta see the plus side of that! The Pizza and chocolate cake would have been way worse! Btw, you can cut the Sharon into quarters and then eat them but leave the skin, I always find it way too chewy. :)

i was a little dissapointed with the sharon fruit i thought it was a bit bland

They're really nice if you let them ripen a bit, so that they're sweet and blend up with some natural yogurt and then pop in the freezer in little ramekins for 2hrs. Then stir the half frozen yogurt and voila, you have a healthy version of ice cream

pretty good day I think first day of getting under 15 syns despite having a terrible dy at work so thats really good.

never ate cous cous before and so ive been experimenting with some new things

this was my second attempt its sundried tomato and garlic cous cous mixed with fat free cottage cheese and chives with salad

this ws yesterdys meal its mushroom cous cous with ham slices and salad (including almost an entire lettuce lol)

I prefer the mushroom cous cous these were ainsley harriots packet thingys so my next challenge will be to make my own from scratch with different flavours (i will prob leave tht for a couple of weeks)

oddly I dont think ive actually been eating enough certainly not enough free foods but with work and stuff its been tough will be a challenge on a dy off come tuesday to see if i still stick to the good work.

I think I should prob take out shares in muller with the amount of yogurts im buying and getting through ive bought 22 ha ha ha nd I know they are free (well a few arent but not many syns most of the ones i bought are free) i am wondering surely there must be a limit to how many i can have in a day lol yesterday and today ivehad 3 on each day oops lol

oh and the salad with the cottage cheese was flavoured with the balsamic salad light spray and the other one with the ceaser salad light spray I like both of them

whoopsies drive me mad! sundays are worst- i always seem to work til 4 (we don't have extended opening hours- gutted :( ) and all the whoopsies!! omg!!! punnets of berries for 20p!! argh! they're welcome to the fresh bread ;)

my mum works in an asda supermarket, there isn't much selection, it being smaller than a superstore, but the whoopsies are great :)

is there another group you could get weighed at next week? you are free to go to any group a long as you have your card :) if not, text your consultant and tell her (or him cant be too presumptuous!) that you can't make it, and could you put it down as a holiday.

i dont eat enough while working- but yesterday i did have 3 big meals- the last one was so late though- didnt get in from my other job until gone 11, so it was an uber late meal (about 12.30 i ended up eating!!)

anyhoo- you're doing good ,by the looks of it :) carry mugshots with you if you're on a shift over 4 hours- i tend to have one in my 15 mins- only takes a few mins to thicken :)

I have a really nice and easy Marroccan CousCous salad recipe, it's mainly chopped salad veg (cucumbers, tomatoes etc) and the cous cous is spiced with ground coriander, cinnamon and cumin. then lots of fresh chopped coriander on top and if you feel like it you could add a tin of tuna. I'm leaving out raisins, because they are very high in fast release sugars and I'm trying to avoid them. It's really nice. But I'm hopeless of getting the cous cous to water ratio right when boiling it :/ I always either have it too gloopy or it burns :( have to figure out how to get it nice and fluffy!

Trial and error hunny. I usually find a cup of couscous to 3/4 cup hot water/stock works for me but sometimes I've ended up adding more water to get my desired consistency. I don't boil it though. I just add my couscous to a pot, add my spices and onions and then add the hot water, mix and stick a lid on for a few minutes. Then I fluff with a fork and serve. No stove required :) xx

Pics look lovely... Oooo I love a bit of food porn I do ;)
ill do another for ya tomorrow when I do my first attempt at SW wedges lol had salad again today not feeling hot food but got a load of veg to cook up on tues so i cn freeze batchs of food spag bol and stir fry
