just tried making my first galettes and when i tried turning it over it just broke up and turned to mush....any advice?

Hi Dee its possible that you didnt let it cook long enough before attempting to turn it over. You also need a very good non stick pan. Keep practising it will come x

My first galettes was like that .... but now I love them.

A good non stick pan - or wipe with a little virgin olive oil on a piece of kitchen towel. Not too hot or it burns.

I put my oatbran with an egg, quark and a little skimmed milk, plus pepper and dried chillis .... cook slowly and only turn when you can lift it up and it doesn't fall to pieces. Gorgeous with poached eggs or smoked salmon!

Thanks....will try again today. Trial and error!

slow and low and practise ;)
