George's Journey To Drop 10 Stone..

    About me:
    My name is George & I'm 18 years old. I'm also 25 stone & about to embark on a journey. My aim is to not only loose nearly half my body weight but to maintain my ideal size(once discovered) and forever.
    For as long as I can remember now I've allowed myself to gain weight & to lock myself away from normal things like going out with friends.. Change is long overdue.. But now it's began..


    Weigh Ins:


    • (10/1/2011)Starting Weight: 25 stone 3 pounds
    • (7/2/2011): 23 stone 11 pounds


    Reports & thoughts​


    (7/2/2011):

    Last week went well.. However I didn't get much walking done due to all the wind and rain - it's been real bad here :/
    I still managed to loose 5 pounds though so I'm not complaining. My confidence is forever growing and I'm feeling rather good about the way things are going.


    (14/2/2011):

    It's been a month now and despite having the flu and the weather being horrid this week, I'm feeling good! I lost another 2lb last week adding to a total of 23lb :) :)

    Hi George, Well done you for putting your foot forward and taking the step to a healthy and slimmer life.
    Just a word from this "knowall gran" - lol! Be aware that you are going to have "down" days and blips along the way and don't get too upset about them, it happens to the best of us. Just pick yourself up and carry on and let it go by.
    Most of all remember that there are lots of us doing the same thing, blips an' all! But we are here to support one another so this is the best place to come when you need that extra little bit of encouragemant and to keep you busy when you feel like you are about to be attacked by your fav nibbles!!...lol!

    Thank you :) Yeah, I've already had a few down days, but I've stood my ground, because I knew treating myself once or twice might encourage it more often. There's such a long way to go before I reach the weight I'll be happy at, but so far I'm happy with the progress I have made and hopefully by 2012 I'll have reached my goal and be maintaining it, but then again, who knows.. I can only try my best :D:D

    Well, weighed myself Monday gone and was down to 23 stone 4 pounds.. Bringing my overall weight loss to 28 pounds.
    I'm really happy with the results but this week hasn't been an easy ride and temptation has been lingering around, although I haven't given in to it & never intend to.. It can just be frustrating sometimes when people can eat whatever they want and however much of it and yet don't seem to put weight on at all.. :s
    The future's bright though and with summer not that long away, I have fishing, walking and holiday's to look forward to and returning back to college in September hopefully having lost 5stone or more. ;D

    Well, the months have passed by and I feel the need to update this. College became very busy, and I found it very hard to continue with my diet........
    However, I did. I've only managed to drop to 22.5 stone, but I've still lost 2.5 stone, which I'm happy about. My goal is still 15/16 stone and I'll be working out a lot more in my summer holidays (starting in two weeks) so I hope to be 20 stone before September, though how realistic this goal is, I don't quite know.. All I know is, my reason's for starting this diet were strong one's and I still very much believe in them.

    hey George, well done, you are doing a great job, keep on!!

    You are a handsome young man already (love the new hair btw!) and you will only get better looking as you lose weight - I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised at the amount of attention you will get as it goes!!

    Also, another good reason to lose the weight now, is to do it whilst you are young, and your skin is still elastic enough to shrink back... it gets looser the longer it has been stretched out! (trust me, I know.. I have a belly like a bag of jelly!)

    Just a quick update, which will be followed by a more detailed one in about a months time. I have now passed my first year of college with top level grades, and have been accepted onto my second one. I'm now in my second week of my 10 week holidays and I am taking advantage of the hot weather to get back outside and push myself, and I have bought myself a decent exercise bike for evenings and to boost my loss, and what a work out it gives you! So watch this space people, my goal to loosing 10 stone might have slowed down, but I've never put more than a few pounds back on and I'm still 2 and a half stone down, if not more (haven't weighed myself for a few weeks) and I'm back on top form ;)
