Georgies, new start! wk 4:)

well having a good day today and the past nearly 2 weeks, diet wise too, I've been accepted on the florestry course, so I'm really looking forward to it, the factory work started last thursday so I'm going tomorrow hopefully use the sewing machine more and stitch the patchwork, I really enjoyed it last week.

this morning I thought that I wasnt going to weigh myself but anyway after breakfast, I just caved in and weighed myself after nearly 2 weeks not weighing myself, I also started my healthy eating nearly 2 weeks ago, anyway I was really chuffed with the result those exstra pounds are I think are gone, I say I think because this was after breakfast, but I'm only a pound heavier than my lightest! will weigh myself first thing tomorrow or friday just to check, anyway I'm going on holiday to great yarmouth on saturday so I' ve promised myself to watch what I eat, I know ill be on holiday but I am sick of gaining and loseing thoes odd pounds, I havent come very far these past few months with the scales so really want to be a bit slimmer come september although setting nothing in stone.

as for excersise played badminton with a friend and have been going to the walking group, I have stopped going to the gym for now since I got a bit fed up with doing the same thing and also had no one to go with :(, I might try and go on the wii fit though and I love walking so will do that on my own after the holiday :) .

Hey Georgie!

Ace, well done on getting onto the florestry course! I know you mentioned the sewing, but what will you be doing mostly? Sounds different and exciting though!

Well done on the loss too! That does sound like a good result's going to come your way, babe! Finger's crossed for tomorrow or Friday!

Walking is fantastic! I love going out to the Lakes and Pennines, it's lovely to go mountain-hunting :) It's a low impact yet still a good cardio workout.

well I'm going to be doing florestry 2 days a week and at the moment I'm doing the patchwork sewing on thursdays 9:30 am - 1:00

well friday weighing in, but I've started the (monthy, usual) so wont be too disopointed with the number since I've been good all week, its the holiday week that I keep thinking about lol but I can say no, so hopefully it will be fine.

well I like walking up hills but not tried going up a mountain.

Oo, patchwork sewing! Sounds quite relaxing. Did you study sewing at college or are you just generally good at it?

Good luck for tomorrow! I'm sure you'll do fine, and if there's anything untoward, you can rest in the knowledge that it will be the red monster and nothing that you did wrong.

Mountains are no biggies. Just like hills, but taller, cooler and rockier at the top.

I did a btec art course before graphic design, since my gcse's wasn't as good, so I had to work my way up, I did textiles as part of the art course and did a GCSE at college, I did a cousion and designed the fabric, unfortunatly the work is at my dads, so havent got a photo.

I decided to work at the voluntry factory when one of my housemates started there, I was really impressed with the patchwork, she had made, I'm still fairly new to sewing so I had to be shown how to thread the machine and I'm practicing how to sew strait, it was a few years ago when I did the GCSE, I'm really enjoying it, the atmostphere is good and it is relaxing, oh yeah the graphic design should help in florestry, I'm hoping to be more prepared for assignments, and there are lots I have learnt in graphics so I'm glad I did graphics, the teachers wanted me to do ceramics when I chose graphics lol athough at the moment I'm just going to ceramics classes just for a hobby on mondays!

anyway moving on today went to my friends house really enjoyed it, my friends going camping next week and its with an organisation anyway they have to make there caravan look like its from 1960's so we went b&q to get lots of bits of funky wallpaper and cut them into triangles so enjoyed that athough was diapointed because we couldnt paint the outside!

as for the weigh in this morning, I am now at my lightest being on a plan, I wont use the word diet becuz I'm changing my ways whoo hoo! although its took me about a year, arrrg, christmas and birthdays :p.

Cool! That's quite nice, it's almost like working your way up and returning to to things from way back when. Great stuff!

Ahaha! Sounds like ace fun doing up your friend's caravan! Are you going with? Bet it'll be an ace time!

Congrats on the weigh in! Nice work :D

I'm back!

actually it just a coincidence that my friend with his family's caravan was going camping the same week.

I've had a great time, I've been the cinema, pleasure beach, a model village, a museum, playing badminton and I've just been relaxing on the beach and the weather was fab too!

the food I had was mostly healthy :) athough there was a starter menu and a pudding menu, in the end I only had 2 puddings the entire time I was there, and one was just bannas and custard, and I had to try temptation Ice Cream magnum!

just weighed myself now and I'm thrilled only a pound up but thats not even in the morning, so I might have even lost weight.

hope everyones having a good day, the weather is great here in leicester!

Today decided to improve my fitness, a few weeks ago I was using the gym so I need to get back into it again, maybe this week.

I decided to go for a walk today in the park I was out at least 30 mins, the park is quite big and I also went to a place where they do capucinos near the park so had one of those, which is my only treat today, I also managed to walk strait past the ice cream van lol.

I've also arranged to go for a jog on wednesday with one of my house mates, and I'm hoping to do more walking into town rather than catch the bus, its only 15 min walk, hopefully mondays and thursdays when I go to town for college and babygear, I can walk instead.

weighed myself this morning and I am the same weight I was b4 I went on hol, so thats good.

Welcome home! And congrats on the STS! Best achievement after a holiday is not gaining any weight, and you've definitely done that :)

Sounds like you had a wicked time! And well done on making some healthy choices too, and indulging in a treat without going overboard.

Oo, enjoy the jog! You'll do great, have fun!

Bron

thanks bronski! I did enjoy the jog whoo hoo!

I usually weigh fridays, so weighed today I've had less than a pound loss, I think my bodys trying to catch up with it self after the holiday oh well at least its better than gaining.

I might sit in the garden for a bit the sun is shining a little, I felt tired today so didnt go to the charity shop :p oh well will try and go next fri and at least I went to the patchworking yesterday, it is growing :).

Yay for joggage! Nothing better than pounding the streets, it's a wonderful way to socialise or spend a bit of time just you and the road :)

Yays for the loss! Don't knock the amount, a loss is a loss, babe! Well done you!

Have fun in the sun! And enjoy the patchworking!

Bron

thanks! :) bron

well its been a while since I've posted, I looked at my last post and thought gosh was it really five days ago? lol

anyway foodwise last week, I had little things, small biscuits because I had coffee out and they gave me a small biscuit with it although didnt have a propper dinner, I also went to asda and bought some dolly mixture which lasted me about 3 days and one of those freddy 10 p chocolate bars, I weighed myself on monday although should have waited till this friday, I found out I was 1IB up so was a bit suprised when I read the scales, so just hoping I will see a result on friday.

this week so far I have mostly ate healtherly, I'm also going to make a routine for myself to have a fruit snack near bedtime because I often feel hungrey near that time and I end up having horlicks or savery stuff some nights, which doesnt really help.

Today havent really been doing much all day but went down to a florest shop really close to where I live, I've put my details down just hope they get back to me, if they don't I will have to go there and keep perservearing, I've learnt that I won't get anywhere in life if I give up, I only wanted to work voluntry for now but a little paid job would be nice.

Wotcha!

Small things are fine every now and again. Can't knock free biscuits :) Sucks the scales were so unkind, though I guess that's what happens if you weigh early; it does not appease the scale Gods ;) Our weights fluctuate anyway, so Friday it'll probably be gone again.

That's a good habit, the planned snack habit. I've started installing one inbetween lunch and tea, it's good to put something in when you know you're likely to get hungry. A really light Horlicks, like the 40kcal ones, would probably be better on a night than fruit, as the high sugars damage teeth if you brush soon after. Definitely a good idea to have something before bed though, especially if you do end up hungry. Nothing worse than going to bed on an empty stomach.

Oo, good luck with the florests! If you keep badgering, show you're passionate, and you'll get something from them, even just work experience is a start and a foot in the door.

Bron

yeah I shouldnt been too hard on myself about the biscuits, I do allow for a treat usually although I did turn down a doughnut yesterday, yeah maybe horlicks isnt so bad, but I started drinking it quite often before but I had it in my head that I shouldnt drink horlicks too often maybe I read that there was a trace of fat in it lol :p oh well will try sticking to milk and sometimes have a horlicks.

I feel a bit better in my mood today, this morning I went ice skating istead of the patch working because I sometimes go to these groups run by the NHS because I was ill in 2007, although my foot kept going the other way and the skates were really heavy so didnt do aswell as I thought I would but I sort of enjoyed it.

after that I went to matalan to get some pjarmas!

im going to have dinner in a bit, its homemade pizza tonight :).

The occasional treats don't hurt, and it sounds like you're taking them in moderation which is the key :) Don't let the squatter fool you, it won't have been because of a Freddo or a dinky biccy.

Horlicks is so tasty, and great for getting to sleep. I kinda miss 'em, it suchs they have milk powder in...

Oo, ice skating! I used to do that when I was younger, can kinda still remember some of the moves and techniques. Sucks you were poorly, but that's ace that you can still do things with the NHS, the organised days out are a lovely idea. Glad you enjoyed it :)

Bron

yeah I had a good time!

you've uplifted me bron actually so thanks for that, been feeling a bit fed up because I have been ringing up at least 8 florests for some expirence and have had no luck and i went in the one near my road and the manager said its pretty quiet at the moment.

as for the eating I've been pretty good I've been having salads for lunch for a change and am really enjoying them, but felt a bit ill monday evening, maybe it was the lack of fiber, so had a banana before bed and then yesterday made a vegitarian lasagne and spent about 4 hours in the kitchen :p and had a horlicks, hopefully tonight ill just have water since i havent been feeling that hungry to snack since sunday.

well had some better news now, my friend came round and she said that she met someone from the college and from leicester that is doing floristry and would consider to take me on, but only if ive got a bit of expirence, so at least its something, also I searched florist in myspace and found someone, again from leicester, who is studying near by at a uni so i sent an email so i might get a responce, who knows..
