This evening was fun. OH was invited to a 5 course menu dinner prepared by Master chefs who are taking their final exams next month. Sort of a test run. They're all given the same ingredients and have twelve hours to create a five course menu. The guests were seated at different tables and got to test the menu of one of the examinees. Afterwards we had to give feedback. I couldn't resist and had to go along. :D

It was very Atkins friendly and I resisted the pasta (not a big fan anyway). What was really good was the asparagus- cut into bits about 2 inches long and fried in butter and fresh coriander. I highly recommend it :eating:

The meat was ostrich which was OK and wild boar cooked with mushrooms. What made me giggle was that on the rather pretentious cheese board was....... cheddar!!!! Apparently only for the well to do here in Germany!

That sounds wonderful. I went to something like that when my nephew was qualifying as a chef. Very yummy.
