Getting teeny tiny for Thailand!

Hey guys! I've joined slimming world because me and my boyfriend are going travelling in October and I don't want to be covered up for it so I have commenced Operation Slim Down! I used to be 11 stone and never varied, but I am a nurse who went from working on an incredibly busy ward and no time to eat to a specialised area and now I am not running around as manically as before and my work is no longer in walking distance as it was before, and now 2 years later I'm 2 stone heavier, oh no!

It's 5 months before we go so I have been looking up diets and found this forum and I just loved reading all your food diaries and stories, It's so inspiring! So I thought I'd start one too and hopefully you can help keep me on track and away from those evil doritos and demon pesto!

I've been online and got all my shopping to be delivered tomorrow, all slimming wold friendly muller lights, eggs and such :) I'm so excited to start!

Current weight is 13 stone 1 and I want to get as close to 10 stone as possible in the 5 months while not doing anything too drastic and unhealthy. I'm aiming for around 2lbs a week!

So my food plan for tomorrow is:

Breakfast - 2 Alpen Bars (I bought many flavours but probably go for a cherry bakewell and a lemon drizzle)
Lunch - Jacket Spud with beans and 30g cheese with salad
Tea - Chicken stir fry with chinese 5 spice, ginger, garlic and loads of stir fry veg with a portion of rice

I hear writing down what you'll be eating is a good way of keeping track, so I'm aiming for daily posts onto here to keep me on track!

See you soon minimins :)

Nicole

Hi Nicole! How exciting to be slimming down for your travels! I went to Thailand just after Xmas 2013 & wish so much I'd discovered SW before I went.
5 months is loads of time, stick with it and you'll fly down. Your food sounds really good- have you joined a group or doing it alone from home?
The only things I'd mention is I think you only get 2 of the Alpen Light bars for a hexb (hopefully they're the ones you've bought! If not just have 1!) And remember to weigh your cheese :) I use a fine grater for cheese too as it makes it go much further! Good luck :) x

Hi thanks so much for your reply and advice! I'll definitely only have one of the alpen bars now, I'm so out of the loop I need to join a group, just doing it home alone at the minute but I have a feeling I'll be doing it wrong without the groups helps with these changes to alpen light and such! Your weight loss is amazing! Is the wedding soon?? I hope so or there will be nothing left of you by the look of those numbers :).

Food!

Breakfast - Porridge oats (hexb), toffee muller light and frozen berries
Lunch - Tomato mugshot, 2 satsumas, apple
Tea - Chicken stirfry with shed loads of veg and chinese 5 spice - this is certainly my fave meal of the minute and so bulked up with veg!

I've been using my 250 ml milk allowance for my hexa in my multiple cups of tea today!

Ah that's no problem, happy to help where I can! Some find it useful just to go and have the new members talk, even if they don't go again- you can get all the up to date books too :)
Thanks! I feel fab- love SW! Had a dabble in calorie counting but I feel so much healthier on sw. Wedding is 5 weeks on Friday :-O
Lol I find I have certain meals I always go back to! When I first started I'd have peppers, onions, mushrooms and chicken cooked in fajita spices with rice about 4 times a week haha x
