Can you suggest a few hotels? It would be great if we all stayed in the same one like we do in Birmingham. Is there a Jurys Inn in Glasgow?

Theres a Jurys in town and a Raddison and a gazillion travel Inn/holiday Inn Express type places too.

No end of hotels right in the city centre... just depends what youre looking for

Train wise both main stations come right into town, the airport is about 20 mins away and Im happy to come pick anyone up from there and run them up to town

Ive asked one of my colleagues to make a list of hotels (other than Travel Inn type places) for me in the city centre that would be good to book.

General consensus is TI/TL are probably the best to go for:

Travel Lodge: Glasgow Central £55 per night
Travel Inn: Charing Cross £55 per night/George Square £60
Express by Holiday Inn: West Nile St, £67 per night

Theres also a Jurys in Jamaica St and The Raddison in Argyle St. Id suggest one of the Travel Inn types tho as I was thinking we'd probably be in the Merchant City and the top end of the town

I so wish I could come, I used to live in Paisley and would have had a real memory lane time! However, perhaps next time when, hopefully, finances will permit. Will be there in spirit with you though!! xxxx

Im not sure who (if any) are booking into hotels but starting in Geo Sq sounds a good idea... maybe the Millenium hotel or the Corinthian for drinks??

I know someone who works in the George Hotel. I may be able to get a discount on a few rooms.

I live in Falkirk and had intended to get the train and go home at the end of the night but perhaps I could be persuaded to stay over.
