Going the Loo for a No:2

I have been on LT for 6 days now and havent been the loo for a No:2 while I have been on the plan. When I went to the weigh in today I told the pharmacist and he advised fibregel. I have taken one sachet tonight in the hope that I might go tomorrow. Since I have been taking LT I have had grumblings in my bowel as if I was going to have a loose one, but alas nothing has happened.

Is this a common thing while on LT?

Anyone else had the same or similar problems?

Hi Christine

This is regualar problem and one I have suffered from quite a bit. I have had to take all sorts of preparations advised by the Chemist. Senekot helps. There is another thread on here about the same problem and the advice is good. Try drinking more hot drinks and I have found that the soup and the flapjacks have helped. Make sure you are drinking plenty. 7 weeks into the diet I am more regular but I only go a couple of times a week now.

Thanks for the response. I am drinking around 8 pints of water a day as well as around 6 cups of black coffee and I am also having the soup for my last shake of the day, made with hot water.

I have problems in that area anyway without being on LT, so maybe I just have to take each day as it comes and see how it goes.

I will check out the other thread for this very problem.

That's a lot of liquid - I'm told 2-4 litres is optimal, though if necessary you can go a bit over. Defo true re: the flapjacks - worked wonders for me.

I use dulcolax tabs but 1 every other evening and they are doing the trick nicely :) x x x
