    Well this is my premier post on the site, so i'd better make a good impression ;D

    Just turned 30 this year and I wasn't feeling absolutely wonderfull in fact far from it.

    I looked in the mirror and decided the person(s) that i saw was going to live a very short life unless something changed in a dramatic fashion.

    Since my, i suppose you could call it awakening i have been completely reavaluating my relationship with food and discovering a new one in exercise.

    My basic aim is to loose roughly a person sized amount of weight through a balanced diet good nutrition and exercise. I'm definately not going to use any scales at all at anytime as my body is going to do what it's going to do if i treat it right. In the past i've got so hung up on targets and acheivements and although it helps for some it's just not for me.

    Now on to the hillariously delicious irony.
    I started on a fast last week, not for weight loss but as a means tackling my relationship with food which looking at it now was pretty messed up.

    I decided to fast for a week and a half, just to see if i could do it. I was thinking one evening just thinking i can't actually remember a time where i was hungry, not even the feeling of hunger. I took this as a personal challenge if you would, reabilitate the mind and the body will follow.

    I'm using this time to learn about nutrition, exercise and soforth to prepare a plan of attack for the rest of my life. I'm nearly there with what i'm going to do in terms of diet plan etc and will make posts elsewhere about it in other threads.

    Aside from sounding business like and formal lol I'm also feeling really positive and for the first time in years really looking forward to my new life as it slowly arrives.

    ps i like beer :D

    Hi and welcome. What do you mean by fast? You still need minerals and vitamins
