    Hi there,

    Thanks for looking!!!!

I am seeking a gym accountability buddy/buddies. I havbe a la gym membership but rarely get there. I can't seem to motivate myself to go to the gym or classes. I'm more a classes girl but.... for myself I say "why bother".

I am looking for encouragement, motivation and support and am willing to give the same.

I walk Pickle most days. I also try to either walk to or from my place of "work" (I rely on public transport).

I am 47, single and need to lose about 4.5 stone.

    All offers welcomed.

Hi Judith, I will be your buddy if you want, I am already buddies with other people but I can never have too much encouragement!
It sounds to me like you're doing very well with all that walking, someone I know lost a few stone in about 18 months on a walking regime like that.
I've done over an hours exercise everyday this week so I am chuffed with myself. I am like you and have been very apathetic about my exercising, always saying I will "do it tomorrow" instead if getting stuck in but I plan for that to change and it has done for this week!

I am Danielle, aged 26 and am from Co Durham. I am currently 12 stone 13 and want to be back down to 9 stone or as near to it as possible, anything to get me into my clothes again! I am calorie counting and exercising as a way to lose weight.

What diet are you following? hope to chat with you soon :)
    Love Danielle x

    Hi Danielle,

    How are you doing?

I use a pedometer every day and try to get at least 10,00 steps in 6 days a week. This is easier to achive during the week..... not so good at weekends.

I need to hit either the gym or classes.... get me monies worth. I might try a couple of four day streaks to get up my exercise ~ first four days will be just going to the outside of the gym, next four having a coffee there and then the four after actually changing and going into the gym for a wee while. I hate the idea of all those super~skinny people there.

Hey... we are both near the same weight with similar goals. How cool is that?

I am doing Slimming World and Slimpod and 4~day Win ~ the latter two work on your brain and mine needs feeding healthy stuff and a diet from all the junk thoughts I feed it.

Going to bed in a mo ~ will talk to you tomorrow.

Oh my parents retired to Darlington ~ Co Durham is a lovely place.... nearly as good as Yorkshire *grin*

Hi Judith, wow i did not notice that we were a similar weight with a similar goal, that IS cool! :D I am sure that we will be able to help each other through this.

I am wanting to go to Zumba classes but I am like you and feel a bit uneasy going in there, I feel stupid most of the time without waggling my fat butt around in front of other poor people!! haha.

As for you going to the gm, I think you should go for it, either that or join a class, it's got to be worth it, maybe if you pick out a time when it's the least busy in there so you will feel less self conscious? I understand how you feel about all the skinny people being in there too. But the gym would really help you to lose weight and you might soon be one of the skinny mini's in there too! :D

Yes it is lovely in Durham, I love it here bit cold mind you but I enjoy snow anyway! Yorkshire is a gorgeous place, I love it there, I enjoy all the countryside so I am in my element in this part of the world.

Never heard of 4day win before, what is it exactly? Sounds interesting.

You will have to tell me more about your little dog, I love animals. I lost my dog two years go but I have not got a new one yet.

Look forward to chatting with you tomorrow!

    Danielle,

How goes life with you today?

Thursday means that I have a meal at Morrisons at lunch time.... today I didn't have a halo option *smile*

I was thinking of giving Pickle a short walk this evening but then I thought of you... looked at the number on the pedometer.... and walked my usual route. So all in all I have done over 14,000 steps today.... go me.

When is the Zumba class you are interested in joining? I could go to Zumba on a Thursday methinks but I have the grace of an elephant and the cordination of a squashed ant... can't dance to save my life. But apparently its good fun and helps with the weight loss.

I will look at booking classes for next week ~ or at least making sure I get to the gym four days in a row ~ even if its just to have a cup of coffee ~ get me in the habit of going. Not sure when I'll start this "4 day win" ( I got the book by Martha Beck) but soon...

Pickle is a black and steel grey dog ~ lurcher cross so medium sized ~ and pulls on the lead.... lurches from one pickle to the next. She was born to chase I think. And bark when out. I'll see if I have a photo of her...

Not doing much else this evening. Money day tomorrow so that'll put a spring in me step! And then perhaps I can get some healthy food...

    What have you done today?

    Danielle and friends....

    How goes life with you?

My eating has sucked today but on the plus side I walked Pickle today and got in just over 10,000 steps today. Didn't do so good yesterday but.... I refuse to beat myself up! I'm in the mood for looking up my gyms website and see what classes they have to offer in the coming week.... that'll be one step closer to my goal.!!!!!!

Hope you all are having a grand weekend!
