Hannata's spiking - week 2 - 5lbs lost (calorie breakdown on 1st post)

How's your weekend been Hannah? X

Have ordered the book hannata & looked @ the website. Really enjoyed one of the articles he had posted - 'The Fat Trap', written by a New York Times journalist.... Also trying to break the aspartame addiction - drink 2L Pepsi Max a day :(. BAD stuff. I wasn't too overweight until I started drinking it. Even though it's zero calories, it disturbs the balance of the body & makes u crave carbs and sweet things apparently... Hey ho! Will flick through the book when it arrives. Good luck!!

Yeah its true, I feel a lot better since I've taken the great majority of sweetener out of my diet.

Enjoy the book, I found it to be a very interesting read. Just goes to show that actually, (processed) diet food is actually not good for you at all!

My weekend has been alright, a little boring lol. Had my high cal day on saturday... went in to town with my mum and had a fry up. Bought a new mattress, yay. Spent most of the day rejigging my room, and clearing out all the clothes that don't fit (small and big) and I've kept one pair of jeans that I wore in college. I keep "saving" clothes and they end up forgotten about so I'm just getting rid. Most of them are worn out anyway!

I weigh on saturday, and I lost 3.5 this week, so very happy. Feeling good about it. I'm sticking to 3 meals and it seems to work for me.

I saw that stevia stuff on the tv! Its in Tescos labelled under Pure Via! I kept telling myself i must come in here and tell you guys lol.

I've not been too bad lately.... most days this week i've been pretty low - even sub 1200 once! (not like me at all) thanks to my braces and soft food diet I've not really been in the mood for much food :( When I'm biting down on my front teeth it feels like I've been smacked in the face so eating is difficult to say the least...

Still planning to do a spike this weekend. On target to lose about 1.4lbs. (same as last week) will be interesting to see how the "first week" loss differs on exactly the same weekly calories. I think I'll be lucky to get 1.5 after the last two weeks of 4 and 3.5.

Have managed to completely crack my daily weighing obsession... I think the fact I know exactly where I am day to day with calories is giving the control freak in me satisfaction :) (I did a spreadsheet to work out my TDEE, and my daily intake which gives me my calorie deficit and projected loss)

Well i weigh in today, and lost another 1.5lbs. Woot.

For anyone who's interested this is how my 2 weeks went calorie wise, and the calculated loss etc

wasn't really in the mood for eating yesterday....so only just had my 3000 spike.. normally I could eat 4000 if I really put my head into it! Trying to keep to spiking even though I wasn't keen yesterday as its really working... can be sure i'll be up to it next weekend :p but the great thing with eating less on spike is I can afford a few more calories for the rest of the week. :)

Woke up this morning feeling really freaking awful. Got up and went to the toilet, then went back to bed cause I was so light headed :/ Still don't feel great today.... sooner I get an appointment with the lung specialist the better.

Am scared that my lung problems are heart related (my paternal side has heart problems - grandad died in his 40s, very healthy father had heart attack at 56). My heart rate has always been completely strange. I take these "episodes" a bit like asthma except I get extremely dizzy, like there's not enough blood/oxygen getting to my brain, and my heart rate goes up to 180, then I'll have a migraine after! Just hoping someone can get to the bottom of it.

I've got a really complex medical history and it just seems to me like EVERYTHING I suffer from seems to come at once which makes me wonder if they are connected... I've got psoriasis, arthritis, ibs, raynauds, crippling migraines (and cluster headaches) and I've had this lung complaint since I can remember.

Morning hun. Interesting spreadsheet and the plan seems to work great- I couldn't be bothered to do all the counting and spreadsheet! Hope they get to the bottom of things for you its no fun.being ill all the time x

I'm a bit of a number buff so I thrive on spreadsheets :p Once I coded it the rest of its simple, I just stick in my bmr and daily eaten, and it works it out for me.

Yeah I didn't get a wink of sleep last night, had a weird wide awake thing. Could feel my heart leaping out of my chest and my lungs felt a bit strange.... I dunno, just very weird...

Love ur spreadsheet!! I have a similar thing heart wise it's called Svt and is quite common im on medication because i get it quite a lot, but is not serious, dr may want u to wear a 24hr ecg to see whats causing ur palpitations

heh thanks.

Just getting a bit down about it. I really want to be able to exercise but I'm not capable at all at the moment. Had to give up my personal training after a few nasty episodes.. :( I am being referred to a lung specialist but I don't know what they'll be able to do if its cardiac related... then it'll be another long wait on another list lol

How is this going for you Hannah? X
