Indeed. Try not to let the scales upset you. A pound of muscle takes up for less volume than a pound of fat, and so showing a sts or a little gain when you've been working out isn't too surprising. I'm certain that it will all even itself out after a while. :)

That's awesome your clothes are hanging off. We shan't be in the same size as each other much longer. Where will I get my outfits from now?? :p

Hey Hann, forget the scales, they really don't mean much when you are strength training. You will show a weight loss over a longer period of time, but reducing body fat is much more important and that is what you will be doing. You won't be one of those awful 'skinny fat people'..that actually lose musle through restrictive dieting= Just think as well, the more muscle you build the more calories you use when at rest!!!
 
Remember my shorts post Han ;) I strength train & when my trainer did my stats around the shorts time I'd barely lost any pounds but my body fat went down loads that even my PT was supriseed & proud!
 
I'm definitely not on a restrictive diet :p

Decided to cycle my gym routine when I get into my 4 week weigh ins after Christmas.

Gotta think of some cardio to do, thinking of stuff like squats, jumping jacks, press ups and things like that, like a circuit style. Hate cardio machines, can't ear staying on them for more than a couple of minutes lol :p

So I'm starting a fast at 5. Well probably now as I'm not really hungry. This week is a bit topsy turvy with my exercise days and eating days being off. This is the weeks plan


Sat (yesterday) eat all day - weights session at gym
Sun (today) fasting after 5 - no gym
Mon work 9-1 - fasting until 5, (asides a tuna sandwich about an hour before I hit the gym, and protein after) - weights session at gym at about 1ish.
Tue - off work - eating all day - no gym
Wed - off work - eating all day - weights session at gym
Thu - working 9-5 - fasting after 5 - gym - spin class maybe?
Fri - working 9-5 - fasting until 5 - no gym

So strictly speaking I'm only getting one true fast day, and one half assed fast day :p ive been pondering how to shuffle it around given that my training days are normal sun tue thur, but the gym is closed on Tuesday. So going mon and wed. Have to eat something before the gym or else I won't be able to cope lol.

I try my best lol :D

Just had a pizzzza and really not in the mood for any more food :eek: had a really good session at the gym, and it was surprisingly busy. But a lot of people were just fannying about and chatting, which really bugs me...lol have a chat in the lounge area dammit, stop taking up precious exercise machines and space!! It distracts me when people are milling around and not just getting on with it.

I got invited to a group on Facebook for female weightlifters, called barbelles :D great wee group, and the lady who runs/owns the group is my heroine, who also accepted my friend request!!! I'm star struck!! 10th under 75kg female weightlifter (in the world!!!) :eek:

Having a bloody brilliant Christmas :D

I think it is possible that I've lost weight... I recently acquired a bum bag to take to the gym, like a week ago. I put my mp3 player in it and keys to locker (as my shorts have no pockets) and I had to tighten it today as it fell off me!!! The scales will probably say a gain again but I actually don't care now I KNOW I'm getting slimmer <3

And I've got a massive stack of chocolate that has gone pretty much untouched! I had a bag of buttons, a carmel wispa and a crunchie on Christmas day, and nothing chocolate wise today, asides my protein shake but that hardly qualifies :p

Fasting again on Thursday night! Looking forward to it!

Welllllll I'm doing well on my fast so far =) Whoop. Not hungry at all oddly! Sure that will probably change tomorrow evening though :D

Its normally a gym day today but because of christmas closing I had to shift my days around and I went yesterday. Don't like doing weights 2 days in a row where possible, and ill be fasting all day Friday, so no gym then. Probably a well timed rest anyway. Feel the tendonitis in my wrist giving me gip =( typing on my iPad doesnt seem to cause this, and my work PC has a special ergo keyboard that is nice on my hands. Not loving the laptop keyboard! Poor wee hand!

Well I gave Viking Guy a wide berth and as expected he came to me. He's having a complete meltdown about the whole situation as I am. I still maintain the fact that I'd rather be friends than nothing at all so its all the same I guess? :/
 
oh yeah and work seems to be getting back to normal after the whole suicide thing. I think christmas being over has helped things settle.... (if helped is the right word?) TBH i'll be glad when new years is over and the days start brightening.... dreading the whole christmas madness rush at the gym too...bleh
