Got breakfast in bed this morning, the tea was made with hot water from the tap (as the kids are not allowed to use the kettle if we're not around) and a bowl of very soggy cereals. But of course it all tasted great
The youngest (6) had made a "world cup" binder with a mozaic cover showing a football player in an orange shirt. several flags of the countries taking part and a football song with lyrics saying how great her Dad was also a world cup time table and the rules of football (as she understood them )
The eldest had made a similar binder about dogs (both she and I love dogs, but my wife is allergic to most animal hair) and with poems and songs in English. My daughters had also bought (together with my wife) a USB memory stick in the shape of a Netherlands footballer for my new netbook
I've had a great day (upto now) and have been really spoiled, I hope the other dads have had a great day as well.
I so love children's tender efforts at spoiling us - I remember the first independent mother's day brekkie I had when my eldest (then about 7 I think) made me a cup of tea with a teabag, a spoon of coffee granules, and warm tap water too! Yum
