    Evening all,

well as my title says im having a tooth out tomorrow which i am glad about as it has been giving me grief for ages now. Started off with a filling just b4 xmas. Anyways to cut a long story short it has given me pain and horrible sensitivity ever since. Had an appt with the hygenist today and decided enoughs enough. But what this waffle basically boils down to is that i have my shakes warm. (cant stomache em cold) You get told to not have hot or overly cold things for a coupla days after just while the gum heals. Would i be ok having my shakes? Hopefully someone can help me as im kinda nervous as it is.

will be fine dont worry , I had a tooth out 3 weeks ago, my dentist just said dont have hot drinks tea/coffee etc until 12 hours after. Just because really hot drinks can start the bleeding off, and not allow the hole to heal up. Mines healed up fine. Its actually easier being on SS as you dont have the problem of eating on the "hole" !
best of luck! i had same prob, decided TOOTH OUT! then it cant hurt ever again, and cant cost me any more! ha

Ideally you should have been on 1200 cals one week prior to extractions.

You should follow the 1200 cal programme for two weeks after the extraction to enable healing. Chances are you will be given antibiotics.

If you have sedation you will have to wait at least a month before resuming any CD programme.

The injections in the gum often have adrenalin in them this can make you feel really ill or faint if on a VLCD.

Let you Dentist know you have been following a VLCD and contact your CDC to advise her of a change in your medical cirucumstances.

    Hope all goes well.

well thats the tooth finally out thank god. It didnt wanna budge took the dentist about 10 mins with the plier thingies. Also took about 7 injections :( (shes only a wee thing too so she was knackered bless er!) Havnt been able to take my shakes today as gum is raw and is still bleeding in stages. Hopefully will be back on tomorrow.
