Hi folks just hoping you can help me plse i'm using the recipe below as an example where it says 9 syns for the whole cake i understand cut it into 9 slices that would be 1 syn a slice over say 9 days.
but 6 1/2 syns + 1 HEB does that mean if it was cut into 6 slices thats 1syn a day + 1 HEB everyday too.

Low-Syn chocolate cake
Syns for the whole cake:

9 yummy Syns or 6½ Syns + 1 Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice
You will need:
5 Scan Bran
3 beaten eggs
1 level tbsp golden syrup
1oz cocoa powder
½ mug sweetener

Hello

For a HEXB you can have 5 scan bran. So I presume they mean if you eat the "whole" cake you can only use 6.5 syns and one of your healthy extras.

But if you are going to cut it into 9 slices and eat it throughout the week, then I would just use 1 syn per slice as you can't split your healthy extra 9 ways!!!

I think that the recipe would actually be 11 1/2 syns.. I think that the recipe is probably quite old - and is calculating the scan bran at 1/2 syn per slice (as it was). Scan bran are now 1 syn per slice.
