Hello from an oldie.....now a newbie!

Hi all.....hope you don't mind but I thought that I'd pop back on here for some support.....

I did LT this time last year and you can see from my stats etc that I got to within 6lbs of my target. I managed to maintain this until a few months back but got really busy at work, mad socialising and a number of other things and gradually at the rate of maybe a couple of lbs a month, the weight has crept back on. Last week I got back from holiday and I'd put on 3lbs over the fortnight and that was the final straw! So I had a couple of weeks of LT left and I've just done 7 days and lost 6lbs. Tbh I'm not entirely thrilled about that but I realise that I can't expect to lost tons when I'm not terribly overweight anymore.....so gonna go off and update my ticker (if I can remember how) and get reading all about you guys who are going to be my new best friends for a little while.

You will soon have that gain flushed away, just like you did before. Good luck chick xxx

Im also returning due to not behaving myself etc. Didnt reach target or anywere near in fact but the 2 stone lost is now 2 stone re-gained. *tuts*
 
Welcome back Sandra! Im a re-re-re starter too!! This is my 4th time but to be honest, the last 2 times I have been on it has been to lose just a few pounds and to detox, my 1st time was for my wedding and now my 30th is looming so I really need to lose a stone in 4 weeks!!

Its day 1 for me today so just getting my head back round it all tbh!

Thx for the welcome guys, it's weird but good to be back!

Well......went to the pharmacist and, without even being weighed or even asking my name, the girl behind the counter (not the pharmacist) sold me another two weeks of shakes!

Been to the gym tonight and did an hour and a half with my personal trainer, felt amazing! Not sure if LT is enough to keep me going .......got a funeral and a big party on Thursday and will def eat and drink, and a reunion on Friday......so going to have to have a rethink, maybe just eat on those two days and then get back on LT on Saturday, dunno yet......

Still haven't lost any more weight though......
 
It's so good to hear from you again Sandra! You were my first ever reply and were such an inspiration to me. I think you kept me sane and focused in my first couple of months and it always made me laugh when you had to give someone a reality check - always well-meaning, of course!
I do admire you for nipping things in the bud cos they say it's much harder the second or third time round. Mind you, that doesn't sound much to put on in a fortnight's holiday - I could do that in one day without trying! Hope the TFR is a sufficient jolt to your system to get you back on track again. Good luck, hun!

Well here I am on day 10 and 7lbs down....seriously in ketosis now and finding it reasonably easy but downright boring:( I've got no idea how I did so long the first time around, sheer desperation I reckon!

This time I'm motivated by the thought of being blobby on the beach! Tbh I know that I'm not huge, compared to before, but I feel so uncomfortable, whilst I can still get my clothes on, they are seriously tight and look appalling so I'm going to get back to my 11st and sharpish! Thereafter I am going to aim for 10-10 1/2...will see when I get there, but I want to wear a size 12 bikini on the beach in Barbados not a size 14 one-piece;) holiday is booked for 26th November.

Jessie, you comments made me smile, I'd forgotten that I could be a bit of a harridan in the past! I will try to be nicer this time around:D
 
Day 14 and 9lbs down. I did eat last night though as I had a reunion with old school friends and it had been planned for over six months. Didn't enjoy it that much tbh and the food was crap! Wish that I had taken a meal bar and just drank diet coke. Consequently this morning I have come out of ketosis and put on a lb......have had some chicken, bacon and an egg as I also had a hangover:( going to have a steak and salad for dinner and go back on LT tomorrow.

Wish that I hadn't felt that I had to eat last night cos today I am starving and hungover.....a **** combination! But still I am feeling much thinner and my jeans feel ok again, I'm about 4lbs above the weight that I stayed pretty level and 9lbs above my lowest weight so deffo getting there:D
 
Sandra, sounds like you made great progress on addressing the bit of summer gain. Have you finished your stint on TFR?
