Hi :) I haven't done the shake thing, but the calorie counting is definitely working for me so far.

i know how you feel! i did cambridge last year before my wedding and forced myself- lost 2 stone but put it back on again! i have this theory now with liquid diets- your body goes in to shock mode and thats why some people dont have good losses as it clings on to what its got! why would i want to starve myself when i can in effect loose the same amount of weight by actually eating! madness! dont be down, just do calorie counting for a week and see how much you can loose, i try to stick to 800-1000 cals a day even though my fitness pal says i need 1500ish :S xxx

Very true and I can see how people regain all the weight. Im gonna aim for 1000 but will give myself an 800-1300 range :) xx

Does anyone have the odd choc bar or should I be sticking to all healthy stuff? x

You have done so well!
:eek::eek::eek::eek:

It just shows that I could have shifted this a loooong time ago...

I'm pretty much exclusively healthy foods, although I will have the odd small glass of wine, and the Go Ahead yoghurt bars. I've eaten one 25g bag of lighter pretzels too this week!

I think there's got to be some give, as it would only make people miserable to constantly deprive themselves. I've had to resort to having things other than food as 'treats' which is a whole re-training of the way I've always done things. Not sure I've got it cracked yet, but I'm working on it!

Chocolate bars all the way!!! This is why I love calorie counting, you can use your calorie allowance for what ever you want. Obviously healthy is better and makes sticking to low cal easier... but when you do have a craving you can have it without completely blowing your diet. Welcome along and good luck! x

I don't think i am being particularly healthy! as you can see i have my snacks- low fat crisps, little snack bars, choc moose, jelly, the list goes on! i could prob benefit from eating more fruit but this time of year it's too cold! hehe. i am loosing 2 /3lbs a week :) x

Oh lighter pretzels? where are they from? i love pretzels... my problem was portion control and I did see food as my treat at the end of the day. Sad really x
