Hi everyone, I've just joined up on mini mins, and am going to see my councillor today (eek!)

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice, I am 21 and a half stone at the moment, and want lose about 8 stones by july 08 for a family wedding!!

I really wanted to know if anyone incorporated exercise into their routine straight away?

I am hoping to eventually, but not for the first month and a half, becuase i dont think i'll have the time. Do you think this will impede the weight loss?

You're not allowed to exercise on the lower programmes anyway, as you're not taking in enough calories - so don't worry about it at all!

Good luck - you're going to stun them all at that wedding :D

Exercising on the lower calorie plans is fine as long as you feel able to. I've been SSing continuously for 4 and a half months and I started swimming regularly at the end of September and I'm fine (and an awful lot fitter too!)
I think the sooner you start exercising the better

In my defence, I'm only repeating what I've read on here....and I'm unable to exercise anyway - still waiting for treatment for medial cruciate ligament tear and cartilage damage (only did it 6 months ago :()

Good luck with your weight loss :) I think I need to get my eyes tested though, I read your message as "I am 21 and half a stone." So I was baffled at first :p

half a stone...lol I dont think i was ever that small!

Went to see my councillor, she didnt really tell me much at all, and just jumped in with "so what flavours would you like?". I was expecting a slightly more thorough explanantion.

well i've got to go see my doctor first anyway, so hopefully after that i can get started!

Welcome Nugabug, if you have any questions someone is bound to know the answer. I am around week 16/17, lost track! and have only just started exercising - pretty pathetic effort I know!! The biggest tip I can give you is keep glugging the water, the more you drink the more you shrink!

Good luck with your journey and look forward to seeing your progress.
