Help on Diet Drinks

LollyPop

One Day at a Time
Hi Guys

I swapped from LL to CD today and have read somewhere I know that I can drink some diet drinks in moderation. I can vaguely remeber some confusion over which drinks you can and cannot have. E.g. Is it Coke or Pepsi??

Can someone please enlighten me as to whether I can drink;

Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max etc

Thanks so much...

Hiya

Current official guidance is a maximum of a small glass of zero calorie drink a day (it is in your pink and blue booklet on page 2).

I always recommend people avoid them because of food cravings and some drinks jeopardise ketosis but the official line is a small glass.

Thanks

Mike

Taken from the current print of the sole source booklet :-

So called Zero Calorie drinks are now always calorie free. Excessive use of such drinks is unwise due to "hidden" calories and too many carbonated drinks can lead to a feeling of bloating. We recommend no more than 660ml/one pint a day. Ketosis should be monitored regularly.

Cool, thanks guys. I knew I had read it soemwhere but I'm at work right now so don't have the books to hand. You might be right on the craving thing though. Think I'll stay away from it for now - have been distracted by work anyway now.

Dr Pepper Zero is fine too.
