:confused:hi girls can i pick your brains as i "used" to cook all my casseroles with a cookin sauce or packet so ive got my pork and veggies.....help what else do i do?? xxx

A couple of stock cubes, some herbs (sage is good with pork) and a bit of water. Salt and pepper if you like.
I never use packets or jars. Add a tin of tomatoes if you like a richer sauce. If you want the sauce thickening then you need to syn some gravy granules or cornflour but I just keep mine thin and use mash potato to soak up the juice!

I think Jaylou has said it all really! Lol

Yup, I do the same as Jaylou.

Sometimes I use blended boiled onions to thicken the 'gravy' slightly (boiling them loses a lot of the flavour so its not too onion-y), I've heard that some people use instant mash (if on an EE day) to thicken it too .... I've never tried that though.

i have the knorr little gel stock ones are they free? x

I've checked the beef and chicken and they are free too.

The Stock Pots used to be 1 syn each for beef and 1.5 each for chicken or vegetable, but I think they were liberated in the recent Free Stock amnesty!!
